Maenadwine sent in this cute shot of a tattooed Coast Guard guy that volunteered to build pens at her urban wildlife rehab center (with two of their numerous baby squirrels).

Lucky You
When he processes images for BME, Phil makes me a pile of images as possible posts, so I don’t always know who it is until I write the entry… So I’m like “who’s this sexy girl?”, and I click on bettiebondage‘s page and am greeted by a picture of her picking her nose. Fantasy shattered, although I’m sure there are many readers that are totally into pretty girls picking their noses 🙂 — “Lucky You” pubic tattoo and stars by Brian at Lion’s Den Tattoo in Salem, NH.

Garuda Mask Collaboration Scarification
I wasn’t going to post today, but I got this amazing collaboration scarification (seriously, click that if you’re wondering why “collaboration” is emphasized) photo from Ron Garza (www.rongarza.com) and Wayde Dunn (www.waydedunn.com) and had to share it (who tour regularly; check their sites for schedules). The cutting (here’s a closeup) is on Justin and is based on a photo of a Garuda mask that Ron took in Indonesia, which he and Wayde redrew for scarification.
L-R: Ron, Justin, Wayde.
Heart-shaped ear cartilage preserved in resin
Howie encased the heart-shaped cartilage punch left-overs he did on Helen at the Laundry in Brisbane, Australia. I wonder if it’ll stay looking like this, or if it will decay or change underneath the resin? And could this be implanted as an implant? I don’t see why not, assuming the silicone is biocompatible. Now I’m thinking I have to get something punched out so I can wear it as jewelry… or implant it!
Tattoos on a healed cutting
About a year and a half ago Ubergeekgawdess had Tantan (at Infinite, Philadelphia) do the cutting that you can see healed on the left. Just now, on the right, Joy Rumore (at Venus, NYC) has added tattooing to augment the scar as it matures.
I knew a woman
This nice portrait of Kleptesvirgo was taken by Kelly MacDonald (her Ani DiFranco – slash – Theodore Roethke inspired chestpiece is by Seth Wood at Daredevil in NYC). Oh, and by the way — happy birthday!
Let seed be grass, and grass turn into hay:
I’m martyr to a motion not my own;
What’s freedom for? To know eternity.
I swear she cast a shadow white as stone.
But who would count eternity in days?
These old bones live to learn her wanton ways:
(I measure time by how a body sways).
Hand Web Tunnel
Melissa says she was just “playing around” here (as well as saying, “ouch, I did not make good decision”, haha), so I won’t worry about how a silicone plug would do in a fresh piercing, but I have to admit that seeing this, if I was going to get a handweb piercing again (it was one of my first piercings), I’d consider a punched one with a titanium plug (no ring though for me). It looks pretty neat…
Straightedge Chestpiece
Being tattooed (with plenty to go still of course) by Nick at World of Steel in Heidlberg, Germany.
Oh, Sweden, you are so helpful…
