The Guess What Game (Results)

Time’s up!  It’s time to see how everyone did.  But before we get to the results, lets get a quick recap of today’s game.

Round 1

Round 1

Round 2

Round 2

Round 3

Round 3

Any final guesses?  Now’s the time.

To see the results, you know what to do…

I was actually surprised that more people didn’t get round one correct.  Instead of the tongue web or smiley, this was in fact SecretReality’s foreskin piercing.

Round 1

Round two seemed to be a bit easier for people to guess.  It also didn’t hurt that Neanderthal’s keen eyes spotted the full sized image in the galleries.  Jörmungand’s big nostril was indeed the answer for this round.

Round 2

Round three was probably the most interesting of the photos today.  Bummm5 sent in a series of photos of him using his hafadas as a form of what I assume is either nullo or chastity play.  He didn’t send in any photos with the piercings removed so I can’t comment on what is being restrained, but what is showing is a rather clever use of his piercings as we normally see this type of play on women using their outer labia rings to form something similar.

Round 3

So?  How well did you do this time?  Any perfect scores?

Every week we’re looking for more photos to play the game with, so if you have a photo lying around that you think might be great for the Guess What Game, just send it in.

The Guess What Game (Round 3)

It’s Tuesday again, and that means another round of The Guess What Game.  Last week we had quite a few people get a perfect score.  Let’s see if they can go three for three again this week.

For those new to the game, the rules are simple.  Throughout the day, you’ll be faced with three cropped images.  Your job is to figure out what body part/modification is being shown.  To make things a little easier, a clue will be given as to what is in the picture.  At the end of the day, the results will be revealed for all three pictures, and the winners will get bragging rights for the week.  Now, on to the game!

Round three again is enlarged simply because the original photo is a wide shot and for this to make sense you’d need to see the piercing up close.  I would urge you to use restraint when jumping to conclusions about this image.  The last thing you want to do is be locked into one answer without giving it a good once over.

Guess what

Think you know what it is?  Place your guesses in the comments below, then come back later in the day to see if you guessed correctly.

If you’re joining the game late, make sure you go back and check out round one and round two.

Round two is all about size.  To some people size really does matter, and in this case the owner of this enlarged piercing it probably means a lot.  Of course with winter coming up, having something like this exposed to the elements would probably cause some discomfort, so it’ll probably be covered up.

Round one is a little bit blurry because I had to enlarge the image.  It’s also a little smaller than normal, for if it was any bigger, the answer would be too obvious.  I’m sure plenty of you will be able to rise to this little challenge.

A Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing

Many of you will remember Darah from the BME World Tour where she was part of the team that went to Australia and New Zealand.  What you may not know is this beauty hails from the wilds of Southwestern Ontario, where she runs wild and free through the forest.  When not stalking her prey in the moonlight, she scours the underbrush pulling forth the spirits of the earth and succumbing to their powers.  Through this divine communion she becomes more wolf than woman, forever bound to the world of the wilds.  It is only in fleeting moments that she can be captured on film where we can see not only her marks and holes that define her exterior, but also catching a glimpse into her eyes, seeing the power and beauty that she manifests.  The pelts she wears are not only there to protect her from the cold of the winter, but also to protect the winter from the fire inside her.

Stitching up a broken heart

We’ve seen plenty of heart shaped scarification pieces on ModBlog, but I think this is the first time we’ve seen a broken heart scar that uses sutures as part of the scarification process.  Jesse Villareal of Main Street Tattoo in Merced, CA sent in this recent scar that he did, and in the process nearly doubled the amount of photos in the suture scarification gallery.  We can easily assume the main part of the heart will be identifiable as a scar, but it’ll be interesting to see how the suture scars heal, and how they’ll look in combination with the rest of the piece.

“A girl can’t read that sort of thing without her lipstick”

If you don’t know who the portrait of the woman below is, then you need to stop everything you’re doing and go watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  You see, this young woman portrayed here is none other than the eternally beautiful Audrey Hepburn, in her role as Holly Golightly.

Now, the question always seems to come up when talking about actresses like Audrey Hepburn.  Is she the most beautiful actress ever?  What about Liz Taylor, Anne Margaret, or Isabella Rossellini?  At some point or another, they were all considered to be pinnacle of beauty.  Do you have a favorite?

As for Audrey up there, the portrait was done by LiquriceTattoo, and can be found in the portrait tattoo gallery.

ModBlog News of the Week: December 10th, 2010

It’s that time of the week again.  Where you get to sit back, and unfurl the digital newspaper that is the ModBlog News of the week.  This week was surprisingly light on news, so this will probably be one of the shortest news posts that we’ve done in a long time.

To kick things off is a story out of Australia that is probably one of the most brutal tattoo related crimes I’ve read about.

At the time of the attack, Jason Tattersall wasn’t long out of prison, where he found out that 18-year-old Steven Jiminez had slept with his ex-girlfriend.  The 35-year-old father of two rang the teenager and threatened him before setting upon him at a house in New South Wales, Australia.   During the seven-hour attack, he kicked and punched Jiminez on the kitchen floor, hit him with the baseball bat and used a tattoo gun to ink ‘DOG’ on his forehead in green ink, telling him: ‘Have you learnt your lesson, c***? I’m gonna overdose you on heroin and leave you to die. That’s what a dirty c*** gets.’

‘The tattoo has left me unemployable… I cannot get a job… the shock on people’s faces just doesn’t describe it,’ he continued.  Tattersall, who also forced his victim to sign over ownership of his car, pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnap before receiving his jail sentence.

Thankfully the attacker is back in jail for at least the next 11 years.

Now, a number of people have sent me links about the man arrested at an airport as a result of his piercings.  The story describes a man who after being x-rayed, is pulled aside because of his ample genital piercings.  In the process of the pat down, the man gets so aroused he ejaculates onto the TSA agent.  He is then arrested for sexual assault, the pierced man, not the TSA agent.

The reason I haven’t published this story is because it is a hoax.  Snopes.com, which is known for busting internet myths, recently busted this myth, by linking to the original source, a satirical website, that admits the story was created as a joke.

Now then, there are still a couple more stories to cover, so keep on reading.

Thanks to a tattoo, a woman was able to identify her rapist.  Unfortunately it was also the tattoo that made her realize she was being raped in the first place.  You see, the woman thought she was having sex with her boyfriend when she noticed his tattoo was missing.  It was then that she realized it wasn’t him, rather it was his twin brother.

A woman told police she thought she was having sex with Rohrig’s brother in July 2009, but realized it was Jared Rohrig when she saw he didn’t have his brother’s tattoo. She alleges Rohrig continued the sex against her will.

In a ranking of dick moves to pull on your twin brother’s girl, I’d say that’s probably tops on the list.

Moving slightly away from the criminal activities, we have a story about a community coming together after the murder of a young man.

Their inch-long, rocket-shaped Polynesian tattoos mark them as a sort of tribe.  The tribe of Sean M. Stennett.

Stennett, 25, became Saginaw’s fourth homicide victim early on Dec. 2, when an unknown shooter or shooters opened fire on him from outside a door at 1501 Hancock in Saginaw.  Since Sunday, Byron Cronkright, co-owner of Drunken Monkey Tattoo, 312 S. Hamilton in Saginaw, said he’s tattooed a section from a tribal wristband tattoo that encircled Stennett’s left forearm onto the backs, chests, hands, necks, ankles and arms of about 50 of Stennett’s friends, for free.  Drunken Monkey Tattoo plans to ink the design onto anyone who wants it — at no charge — beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday. Any tips will be donated to Stennett’s family.

Now in something completely unrelated, and certainly not as sad as the previous story, we have Patrick Vaillancourt from Montreal who is looking to set a new Guinness world record, and raise money for charity in the process.

Over the next year, the 29-year-old from Montreal will have over 100,000 Internet addresses tattooed on his body.  ”I want to break a Guinness World Record, but more importantly, I want to help others. And this is my way of doing so,” he said.  Twitter and Facebook page profiles are also eligible to be included on Vaillancourt’s body and they will also be cross-listed on his campaign’s website, Back2thelight.com.  To meet the world record requirements, he must have completed the 100,000 tattoos by summer.

I’ll give him some credit, at least he’s not getting a gambling site’s address tattooed across his forehead.

Finally, in what is always a treat, we have an advice columnist giving advice on what to do if your potential lover has his penis pierced.

My roommate hooked up with a guy with a penis piercing last week, and she said it was weird on many different levels. Any experience with that? And if so, how did you like it?— Veronica, 26

I have not had any experience with that, and to be quite honest, I’m glad! I just don’t think I’d know what to do with it. (Then again, I’m not even sure if there’s anything to do . . .)  I just don’t see the appeal of having a metal something attached to your bits to feel good. I mean, what if you got it caught on something? With my luck, that would happen!  I’ve heard it supposedly feels best for the person with the piercing, but what about their partner? Aren’t they worried it might be a turn-off? It is to me! I give your friend a lot of credit, because I’d probably react poorly to seeing a piercing down there. The first thing I’d think about is whether he disinfects it and how often, which would certainly kill the mood.  I’d tell for anyone considering it . . . get a tattoo instead.

It’s a good thing the close-minded folk of the world have no problems sharing their opinions and “advice” with others.

Sadly the celebrity news round-up is also pretty light this week.

Scary Spice went out with her new husband to get a tattoo, although only he got one by the looks of it.  I wonder if she’s waiting before getting her next one, just in case she has another shot with Eddie Murphy, whose name she already has tattooed on herself.

Lastly, the hottest woman over 60 on the planet sat down to talk about playing a female Prospero, and about getting a tattoo when ”only Hell’s Angels and sailors were tattooed”.

And that’s it folks!  Have a great weekend, and remember to send in any links to news stories you come across.

TGIF

Well, the week is almost over, which means its time to start thinking of weekend plans.  By the looks of it HelloStephanie, owner of yesterday’s Hello Kitty tattoo, is gearing up for a wild weekend with her cowboy hat, beer and rum.

The roses on her lower abdomen are by Chris Churchfield from Artform Tattoo in Lower Burell, Pennsylvania.

So, now that we know what she’s up to, what about you?  Is this weekend set aside for holiday shopping, maybe doing chores at home, or is it time to cut loose and have some well deserved fun?

Ear pointing redux

To some, getting their ears pointed is one of the last steps they can take with their upper ear.  Well Zephyr*Elf here has shown us that not only was she not finished with her ear pointing, she also intended to get them pointed a second time.  Back in July she had the opportunity to meet up with Efix Roy and have her ears pointed for the second time.  The initial pointing was done by Lukas Zpira, who did a fantastic job, but for the look Zephyr was going for a second pointing was necessary, as you can see by just how pointed the end result is.  In addition to the second pointing, he also scalpeled her lobes, with her 20mm lobe going to 1 inch, and her reconstructed lobe being reopened to 10mm.  So, now that a few months have passed, you can see just how well everything healed up.

If you want to see photos of the ears just after the procedure, you can find them on her IAM page.
