You may have seen these in the weekend’s BME/HARD update, but because Phil doesn’t read German I don’t think the explanation was posted.
‘J’ had a rather nasty injury when a CBT game went too far — after tying off his nuts, he temporarily immersed them in boiling water. Unfortunately it was a bit much, and the skin was badly burned, leaving him with an open scrotum — it took nearly three months to heal. He’s fine, but I think will definitely set a lower time limit for nut roasts!
I just talked to Fakir Musafar earlier today and he mentioned that there are still some spots left in the UK dates of his Spirit+Flesh workshops and rituals next month (more here). You may recall he wrote about it in his column as well — the photo below is from that same mountain, of Grin from Chicago.
This tour will be the first time he’s toured the UK in over a decade. You can contact him via fakirtour.com which has all the details, or via his main site at fakir.org. Fakir is presenting and facilitating ritual in a way that perhaps offers different insights and experiences than the majority of suspension and ritual paths in the Western world… If this is what you’re looking for, there is no one more experienced.

Anna (who has such a nice expression on her face in that photo — click through for another view!) is pretty discrete about her modifications, because even with “just” 00ga and 8ga lobes (which she hides when she needs to), a small septum piercing, and a tattoo on her foot, she’s the most heavily modified person at her school. Shooting to be an actress, currently in a philosophy-theatre double major, she writes,
“…if people found out about this it would probably be enough to get me literally forced into counseling. Let’s just hope that someday soon the performance world will develop a serious hunger for heavily modified (pretty… and modest) blondes, or, at least one!”
Don’t worry, nobody ever finds out about stuff on ModBlog… But with such an innocent face, I’m sure she’ll be able to keep her inner deviant hidden… so SHHHH! Don’t tell!

These were featured on the cover of BME earlier in the week, but I wanted to show it once more. TeenagerFromMars had these gorgeous foot tattoos done by Chris Hall at Waycool Uptown in Toronto. The design is based on the BME Aotearoa shirt that Original Sly drew up.
Sacred got a couple nice bronze reproductions of Dayak ear weights to wear in his 2 1/4″ lobes.
I can guess what was going on when this picture of Jessica was taken, or at least I can guess what the guy with the camera is enjoying.
And what’s funny is that the next photo that I processed after that was this one of IAM Code… so I wondered if there could be a similar story as to the dude that took this picture as well?
I’m sure you can guess what the brushed kanji tattoo on the foot next to Flove says. The wearer writes, “I love them bunnies — we have so much in common: fluffy, cute, sex machines…”
In order of appearance: Allana enjoying her first time in the clouds, Sandra taking us into the mid-session interval, Mike (who shared hook throwing duties with Michelle) with his “so close” one knee suspension whilst skewering his cheeks and last but not least, Dave!
