In Russian martial arts, the fighting styles are designed to end the confrontation incredibly quickly and efficiently (and lethally). So it comes as no surprise to me that Timokhin Artyom and crew added a speed element and did 1,500 needles in one person in one hour. I’ve been thinking of machines I could build that could piercing 1,500 needles in a few minutes. Anyone feeling brave?

Midian2000, one of the first people featured on ModBlog for his Lucio Fulci tattoo, has recently had this dermal anchor put in his neck (placed so it can be seen through his stretched lobe) by Didier at Enigma in San Diego, CA.

You may also know Midian2000 from the CD of IAM musicians we released on BME Records a few years back, or from the wildly successful So. Cal BME BBQ which is about to happen again this weekend for the sixth year — click here for more details. I’ve heard some of the stuff they have planned and it sounds like it’s going to be a really nice time.

Canadian Laws

One of the nice things about Canada is that it’s perfectly legal for women to be topless in any public space where it is also legal for men. Nice because all people should have a right to show off their mods equally — so that of course also applied to BMEfest 2006. Thanks to Jezebel (who had a pretty crazy experience) for this melon photo (scarification by Blair).
