I’m gonna say that in this photo one of the two looks somewhat more radiant and less beat down and sinfully play pierced out than the other!

Inverse Emzy
Photo by Al Overdrive (who has an awesome collection of documentation of the UK suspension scene, and I think everyone needs to encourage him to release a book) of Body Evolution‘s Emzy playing in Norwich, UK.
The Blood Scarf
I got an email recently about an art project by Laura Splan (a very interesting medical/body fine artist) that I thought was worth sharing here. This piece is a scarf knitted from surgical tubing, which is colored with — and I suppose alive to due to — the wearer’s own blood.
Supergirls and Superbeetles
Here’s a couple shots of Melissa‘s two-point chest suspension with Freedom Suspension Group. I think the one photo may have been a BME cover? I hope she doens’t have me TOS’d for taking this picture from her page, but click here to see her supercool car. Sorry, I like cars almost as much as body modification and I just thought it was such a nice picture of her I wanted to make sure people had a chance to see it.
No pain, no party
Whether it’s by an accidentaly injury or an intentional cutting or play piercing, I love the look and feel of blood running down my forearms (photo: pinhead-jr). Note to self: Don’t become a serial killer, you’d enjoy it too much and get messy.
Deep Pubic Skewers
Inverted in Greenery
AlienX at Xtreme Body Art in Natal, Brasil always sends the nicest suspension photos (back in 2005, long before the days of ModBlog, I posted a really nice beach zip-line suspension from them on my personal blog).
This time I’ll get his name right!
Let me make up for linking DerKaiser wrong last time by posting this great photo of a 22ga neck play piercing he recently did in Germany. That reminds me, I’ve slowly started speaking German to Nefarious (my daughter) because right now she’s a total sponge for language and I only have to say something once for her to pick it up. Four languages seems like a good number.
“Peace out, Jakarta”
Jon Durante, who’s been doing an amazing around the world journey with friends (featured here previously: mexico, phuket, borneo, etc), documented this anti-Bush protest/riot while in Bogor, Java, Indonesia. I know it’s not really “ModBlog” related but I hope people would find it interesting nonetheless.
Anyway, I’ve been feeling under the weather and some mornings have trouble getting through the work, so today I’m going to try preposting a bunch of updates. If I do it right, you’ll probably see one appear an hour or something like that, rather than them all posting at once. Hope it works!
“I am the high you can’t sustain”
And I do love getting high…
I realized that I haven’t posted a play piercing photo in a while, so when we got this photo from one of my favorite play piercers (ennui zero — I’m a sucker for her photos: 1 2 3 4) I agreed that it ought to be posted. She tells me she was being a baby that night and just did a few 25 gauge needles but I still like the photo.
PS. It’s covered in this photo but she has a really great lower lip bling that you can check out on her page.
