Modified Music Monday!

Ran across Only Flesh the other day. They are a band local to me (Pittsburgh,PA) that really puts body modification at the forefront. The video features a ton of suspension/ pull stuff and the singer is heavily modified. Its nice to see bands going the distance to put on an unforgettable show and a unique aesthetic.

What’s Your Flavour?

Fancy a bundle of wildly different suspension photos in a variety of location? Yes? Good!

First up are these atmospheric photos (thanks Dave) of Only Flesh (more..) performing in Columbus, Ohio, with the help of Modified Soul. Lots more photos after the break!

The next photo is IAM: plea4pain and her friend Alva (in the hammock) celebrating Peat‘s birthday in style, this time helped by the Freedom Suspension Team, and a little inertia.

Hot Cross Fun

Shannon’s Halloween Trauma

For her second suspension, Shannon jumped into the deep end with a performance at Trauma on Halloween night 2007 with the help of Modified Soul, ihung and Only Flesh. The photos — and there are lots more after the break — are by Chris Thornton of Hellophoto.net. The part that surprised me is what she wrote about the zen of it:

This suspension was so much fun! Despite being in an environment surrounded by tons of people, music blaring and people yelling I still found that clarity, inner peace and pleasure I always feel from my suspensions.
