I don’t think that’s where that goes!

Enemy sent in this photo of himself.  From what I gather, the piercings were all completely self done.  His lobes are at 7/8 and his septum is at 7/16.  I wanted to post the photo because high nostrils don’t come in very often.  I want to say this is still a fairly uncommon piercing but given where I live, I’m not sure if that’s accurate or simply my perception.   What about you, ModBloggers?  Would you say this is uncommon or do you see high nostrils with some frequency where you live?

I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that he doesn’t normally wear what appears to be a piece of pipe a sharpie in his septum and that this was just for the photo.

Happy birthday to the almighty Gauntlet!

35 years ago today, body piercing moved out of the basements and into a proper storefront on 8720 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, California. If not for this studio, it’s founders, it’s proteges and it’s legacy in general who knows where we would be today.

So take a minute out of your day to reflect back on our modern history and where our community came from.  Then thank the man behind the Gauntlet who is still an active member of this community and read some of the awesome articles he has written for BME in the past.

The BMEBoys were feeling left out

With all the BMEGirls posted today, it’s only fair we end the day with a superb shot of Pasha and his piercings.  This BMEBoy even caught the attention of Jen, who e-mailed me to let me know about him.   I can’t say I blame her.  It’s a fantastic shot, hauntingly beautiful, and it shows off not only his impressive lobes, but also his stretched septum.  Ok, enough with the talk, enjoy the photo.

Simply Stunning

It’s always a good day when Madison graces us with a new set of pictures.  This Nova Scotian beauty is no stranger to ModBlog, and was last seen crawling along the beach back in September.  Sporting a new haircut, a new shoulder tattoo, and a new addition to her abdominal tattoo from Scott Forbes of Oceanic Art in Dartmouth, NS; Madison is just absolutely gorgeous in these photos.  Do yourself a favor and head to the new skool tattoo gallery to see all of the photos she’s sent in recently.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be off trying to figure out the fastest way to move to Nova Scotia.

Things are looking up

Continuing with today’s marathon of BMEGirls, we have an anonymous uploader who has a passion for body modification.  Now in her comments she mentions that she “doesn’t have the most impressive piercings”, to that I say “so what”.  While ModBlog does tend to favor posting images of some of the more drastic modifications, that doesn’t mean the entire community is heavily modified.  It’s been discussed before about what constitutes body modification, especially in cases where journalists make wild claims about how everyone who is modified has something wrong.  The fact is, even the act of cutting ones hair is a way to modify themselves.  What matters most is how the person feels about themselves, and if choosing to modify their body through piercings, tattoos, scars, etc is what they choose to do, then we as a community embrace them, regardless of the level of modification they have.

When it comes down to it, we have a beautiful BMEGirl, sending in a beautiful picture to the piercing galleries.

Do you know this one girl with hair like this?

You mean Ramona?

Because if you do, can you tell her that she’s the first in a day full of BMEGirls?

Yep, you read that right, all day today will be BMEGirls!  Katya_Kareya sent in this picture of herself to the stretched lobes gallery, but I found myself looking mostly at her anti-eyebrows, as well as her eyes, which just give off this awesome hyperreal vibe.  It gives her the look of one of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s characters.

The Guess What Game (Results)

Time’s up!  It’s time to see how everyone did.  But before we get to the results, lets get a quick recap of today’s game.

Any final guesses?  Now’s the time.

To see the results, you know what to do…

A big round of applause for everyone who guessed it was a nipple piercing.   Lunaboo sent in this this picture of his nipple, which ended up being a pretty easy guess for a lot of people.

Round 1

Round two upped the difficulty a little bit with this female chastity ladder.  As impressive as this is, check back later in the week for another image that was sent in by the same person.

Round 2

Finally round three brought us the most difficult image to guess to date, well at least I think it is.  What you’re looking at is a partial glans removal, coupled with a shaft apadravya, fed through a tunnel.  NuderThanNude sent in this picture of his project, and I’ve included another shot of the partial glans removal to give you a better look at it.

Round 3

So how did you do?  Any perfect scores this week?  With round three being what it is I’ll be really surprised if someone could guess that.

Next week will be a whole new edition of the Guess What Game, so if you’ve got any photos of your modifications that you think may fool some people, send them in!

The Guess What Game (Round 3)

Another week, another Tuesday, and another edition of the Guess What Game!  If you remember last week, we had a self-amputation picture, that led to this post featuring the amputation as well as how it healed up.  By my count this week is the 10th week of the game, so I’ve thrown in an image that I’m 100% positive that nobody is going to get right.  Think you can prove me wrong?  Let’s find out.

For those new to the game, the rules are simple.  Throughout the day, you’ll be faced with three cropped images.  Your job is to figure out what body part/modification is being shown.  To make things a little easier, a clue will be given as to what is in the picture.  At the end of the day, the results will be revealed for all three pictures, and the winners will get bragging rights for the week.  Now, on to the game!

Today’s final round is a little different than the others.  While it may appear that this is just a tube of metal with a pole in it next to a piece of flesh, I can assure you that there is a piercing at work here.  The question you should be asking yourself, is the tunnel the piercing, or is it the post, or is it both?  Then again, it could be something altogether different, but that’s part of the fun.

Round two has a whole lot of metal, but not much flesh.  At least, from what you can tell in the photo.  The trick to this one is to figure out if the metal is going through something, or if it’s squeezing something together.

Round one may look familiar to you, it’s not that this particular image has been seen before, but an image of a piercing with a touch of hair in the background seems to be a common occurrence.  What makes this particular piercing fun, is that through the stretching, sensation in the body part increases greatly.
