His tattoos are quite unique I think?

Where’s the pinups?
I let all of today’s entries slide by without my traditional pretty girl or boy for you, let me give you a little latex teaser from the Latex Fan bonus gallery in BME/HARD (thanks Metaldude and Laxie!)… If there’s an interest from ModBlog readers I’d be happy to post a wider set later in the week.
Yes, of course it includes public nudity and latex-garbed flashing!
When your nipples interfere with your tattoo…
…call Shawn O’Hare from The Pain Parlor in Oxnard, California? My absolute favorite thing about this photo set is that the guy had his nipple cut off, let it heal, and then tattooed a new — and visually pierced — nipple over top of the scar from the removal!
Intellectual vs. Punk
I know, I know, they’re often the same thing — especially if you’re talking about oldschool DIY punk rather than modern corporate marketting theme punk — but I thought that these two tattoos represented two good examples of very different ways of saying effectively the same thing.
“Do not BOX me” tattoo
This is by René at Lucky 7 in Drenthe, Holland. Ray, who the tattoo is on, writes, “I hate that people box each other, so here’s an anti-box (done in my own handwriting).”
Interesting surface piercing placement?
Obviously one of the reasons that people like surface piercings is that it gives them the ability to place piercings just about anywhere with a reasonable chance of successful healing. But I often wonder just how and why people choose their particular placement — what exactly struck them about the back of their shoulder that made them decide that was the one they wanted?
Thanks to Anders the Piercing Guy down in Brisbane, Australia for the photo.
Genetics and Evolution Tattoos
Two ways of talking about the same theological conundrum perhaps? The DNA tattoo (currently just outlined) is by Trevor Collis of Iron Age Studio in Saint Louis, Missouri, and the evolution themed calf tattoo is by Roger from Steady Tattoo in Minneapolis, MN. As I understand it, both of these tattoos are illegal under the USA PATRIOT ACT, and if the owners are not careful who they show them to… off to Gitmo! |
Kanji Skin Removal
I don’t know what the kanji says or if it’s correct (we’ll have to ask Tian I suppose), but I like the little memento of the procedure — although it’s too bad it didn’t stay in a more coherent piece. Cutting by Fernand from Tattoo Blitzz in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Whacky Willy Wonka Sleeve
This sleeve is by Jason Ackerman (IAM:jaysinn) at Lucky 7 Tattoo in West Palm Beach, Florida.
