Silent Agony

There isn’t much to say about these photos as they pretty much left me speechless.  A big thank you to Arseniy for continuing to send in beautiful images of his body modification related art.

There are a couple more to see after the clickthrough, so keep on reading.

The full sized images, along with several others from the shoot can be found in the lip sewing gallery, which is a part of the ritual galleries on BME.

I highly recommend checking out the rest of the images in their intended sizes, so make sure to log in before you check out the gallery.

Lotus Inversion

When one thinks of a lotus suspension, the immediate image that comes to mind is that of meditation.  The position itself leads to the connection between suspension and personal meditation, really showing off the spiritual side of the suspension ritual.

Lately we’ve been seeing images from the Sinner Team that show them pushing the limits of suspension, with suicide suspensions 700ft in the air, triple tandem suspensions, or a 50 point lotus suspension.  Below you can see sometimes they just stick to the basics and work with someone not necessarily for show, but for the spiritual growth that can come from being in the air.  Or course, it is the Sinner Team, so a traditional lotus now becomes an inverted lotus.

Just like their other suspensions, this inverted lotus was well documented, and you can see all of the photos in the lotus suspension gallery.

If you’re having problems seeing all of the images, make sure that you’re logged into your BME account.  If you don’t have one, you can sign up today for a free subscription that will get you access to more photos in the galleries than if you’re browsing while not logged in.

Now that’s a happy birthday!

Well when you’re friends with the Sinner Team, and your birthday rolls around, you know you’re going to be in for something special.

That young man up there is Serge, and he just turned 28.  So, in honor of his birthday he got to have a superman suspension, Sinner Team style.

Keep reading to see what happened next.

Well, seeing as how this was Serge’s 28th birthday, the Sinner Team threw 28 hooks into him, and suspended him for 28 minutes.

Of course, no birthday is complete without a birthday cake, so with 28 candles all lit and ready to go, Serge got to make a wish.

There are a lot more photos from the suspension, and you can check them out in the superman suspension gallery.

Flowering cubism

When Toronto artist Fabrizio Divari creates an original piece, you know it’s going to be something incredible.  Taking a quick look back you can check out an interview with him, and see examples of his paintings as well as some of his older tattoos.

Now this piece is a cubist take on a calla lily, which are those big flowers that bloom in the shape of a jug.

You can check out more of Fabrizio’s work in his BME portfolio gallery.

7 hours of pain…

…for a lifetime of enjoyment.

That’s exactly what JakeMindsnared went through over the weekend at the Surf N Ink International Tattoo Convention down on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Anders started working on the scar at the convention center, but when it was time for the show to end, he still wasn’t finished.  So they packed up, walked down the street and finished up at Anders’ shop.  According to Jake, the processes was grueling as the noise of the convention and the change of locale made it nearly impossible for him to concentrate, leaving him unable to focus on anything other than the pain.

Head over to Anders’ BME portfolio gallery to check out all the the incredible procedural shots.  From the laying of the stencil to the final cuts, it’s all there.

Science Fiction, Double Feature

It’s almost impossible for some people to see a photo of a mouth and not immediately think of Rocky Horror.  Now when Rocky Horror came out 35 years ago, it wasn’t an instant success.  You have to think, would audiences have flocked to see it right away if Patricia Quinn had a split tongue?

And for those with the need to purge the Glee version from their heads..

Nice tits!

Check out Vipera’s tits!

Pete Voutilainen from One Eye Tattoo in Helsinki, Finland tattooed these blue tits on her calves.

To give you a better idea of what they look like, here’s a close up of one of her tits.  You can see the other one in the wildlife and nature tattoo gallery.

It reminds me of those old wildlife sketches, just a simple pencil sketch with some watercolors painted over top.

Now that I’ve posted some tits, maybe someone will send in a picture of their boobies.

BMEGirls love summer

Science has proven it time and time again that when it gets hot outside, BMEGirls will shed their clothing and take pictures.  Now for Iowa native TooGhoulForSchool, summer gives her a chance to stretch out on a hammock and soak up the sun.

Hmm.  Looks like the picture didn’t load fully.  Let me try again after the clickthrough.

That’s better.
