Or are you just happy to see me? Karlin sends in this photo from Merida, Mexico (piercing done at Nomadas as far as I know)… I was wondering… Is this the first time I’ve posted human jewelry? Part of me thinks this is actually the second time I’ve posted this exact picture, ha.
Damn amnesia!
Interesting lip-tip piercing done using custom jewelry on Krista by Chris Holepunch at Akron Ink (formerly Pain Hate Pain Studios) in Akron, Ohio. I’m not sure if it’s going to have rejection issues because the inner lip is pretty soft, but I quite like “mystery piercings” like this that confuse people who haven’t been around much piercing.
I love this shot that Steve Truitt sends in from a guerrilla suspension on a pier in Maryland.
Ethereal…
It’s fairly rare to see First Nations tattoos (Ryan is the only person I know with one in person), so it was nice to get this picture. Bill sends in this tattoo of Iroquois style work (with a little bit of Europe tossed in), done by Justin at Sleepy Hollow Studios in Welland, Ontario.
Bug. Not Butt. I like this encased insect jewelry that Cale in Denver, Colorado sends in. Click through for another view of the jewelry.
Quite a while ago (over two years ago actually), Kivaka sent me these shots of people who came into his shop with rejecting piercings, at least one of them completely unaware that there was even a problem!
“Long story,” he writes. What’s funny is that the Enigma‘s puzzle tattoos, if I remember right, are actually a rather short story! Anyway, enjoy today’s updates here and BME as well, and I’ll have more tomorrow including more historical pieces (I just didn’t have time today, sorry).
Oh yeah, and for those of you who are prudish, a warning: I think there may be more dirty pictures in today’s update than usual. Not that I expect many complaints.
Signature by Brent Spiner, made permanent at Dark Moon in Vancouver, Washington. If you’re the wearer of this, let me add a personal comment just for you: your email address was the icing on the cake! I love Trekkie tattoos.
