Pawel Stroinski from Self Sacrifice in the UK is making a name for himself with his fetish tattoo portraits. We’ve seen one of his portraits before, and again he’s manage to capture both the realism and intensity that underlies a portrait of this type.

Tying the line
Nothing says “Good morning Tuesday” like a nicely done corset. If you look closely you can see that the jewelry is bent to form an almost heart shape, allowing for a 28 point corset to be done with only 14 piercings.
This was among a number of photos of this particular corset and were sent in by kaitlinskorbitz, who didn’t identify if they were the girl in the photo or the piercer.
7 Swans A-swimming
EvanxBurke has been featured here a few times before, most notably for his stunning eyes. Today we’re traveling a little south to check out his new chest piece, by Jim Warf from Rogue Elephant in Moreno Valley, CA.
Oh, and the cutting on his chest is by Wes from Electric Chair in Riverside, CA.
A symbol of grief
I’ve talked before about tattoos having personal meaning to those who get them. There are none more personal and meaningful than memorial tattoos. In the case of this particular tattoo, it symbolizes the grief of losing a child. As Jackie Rabbit says:
After her son was killed by a drunk driver this woman (along with her other sons and husband) came in to get this yellow butterfly as a memorial. She explained that the yellow butterfly is symbolic of a grieving parent.
There is a saying that a parent should never outlive their children. The loss of a child, no matter how old, is probably one of the most devastating events in a person’s life. For the owner of this butterfly, this is just one of many steps in dealing with the loss. Thankfully her family is also there, united in the face of tragedy.
Jackie works at Star City Tattoo in Roanoke, VA.
Music is Everything!
I have no idea if that little guy is from anything and I don’t care. This is just so ridiculously cute.

Giving a hoot about cover-ups
Cover-ups can be a tricky thing to pull off. The new design has to take the old work into account, both in shape and ink choices. The ideal result being a tattoo that covers the original one, and making the owner happy. For Christina Michelle, this owl by Justin Lamoreux in Milwaukee, came out just the way she wanted it.
A long journey
Tattoos can have all different kinds of meanings, some are simple, and others can have a meaningful story behind them. This tattoo is the latter. Amanda Grace Leadman from No Ka Oi Tattoo in Philadelphia helped one individual bring to life a tattoo design that signifies something very important.
“This tattoo connects my journey and my destination as a genderqueer trans person. Amanda and I collaborated in it’s design.”
The design they came up with is this, a pair of mating slugs suspending from a rusty key.
The Devil’s Tightrope
Leave it to the Mercury Suspension Team to put together a 4 person devil’s tightrope pull for a fundraiser. IAM:Benolyn sent in the photos from the event, but she didn’t include the names of anyone involved in the pull, although I do see Bradde on the far left of the first photo.
Update from Benolyn: The people pulling are Bradde Hamman, Josh Anderson, Travis Boersma, and Cory Boersma. Flec is our slackrope extraordinaire, and our anchor people are Matt Borsa, Pat Kuhn, John Osborne, and Andrew “Big Poppa” Mitchell.
