Pauly just had Howie (LunaCobra) increase the size of his forehead implant — which of course you can’t see at all right now because his face is so swollen from the abuse (note: this is not unusual)… Either that or Ken Shamrock started getting piercings and tattoos and decided to spend some more time with Tito in the octagon…

Sideburn Tattoos and Forehead Ridges
…and more of course, but that’s what caught my eye in this shot of iam:enrikay.
Broad geography cartilage excision
This looks amazing (procedure by the always border-smashing Howie aka LunaCobra), but I had two concerns about these photos. First, that enough structural damage has been done by cutting broadly across the anti-helix (ie. where you’d place a rook), that it wouldn’t take a lot for the ear to collapse — Howie emphasizes that he’s done a large number of these removals and that this person’s ear was robust and strong enough to heal successfully.
My other concern was that with a removal of this sort that crosses several very easy to penetrate (by bacteria) cartilage folds that by wearing the industrial bar across it during healing that there is a fairly high chance of post-procedural infection.
That said, if you want this particular hole, it’s not like there’s really a better way to do it! Some things simply involve risk, and you either accept them or you don’t do it… In any case, other than accidentally dropping a heavy weight on his ear three days into the healing (yowch!), he’s healing well.
Intense DIY
From 2″ to 0″ in a few minutes…
Ear reconstruction is getting more common all the time. I’m not sure how I feel about it, because to me it says one of two things: either a lot of people don’t consider the long term implications of permanent body modification, or ear stretching has a lot more physical complications than I believe it has. Anyway, even though removal is an option (be it with lobes or tattoos), I hope people go into body modification experiences with the idea that they’re a life-long commitment. As with most things, it’s a lot harder to climb down than it is to climb up!
That said, if you find yourself in Iquique, Chile, and you’re in need of smaller lobes, visit Felipe Silva at Crew Tattoo. Below is a 2″ ear loop that he removed, both before, and healed.

36 Weeks
Congratulations to sorrowtothegrave on the birth of her son Greyson — he was born just a few days after this photoshoot (don’t her arm spines look great?), three weeks early.
Taking a smoke break
Hey, sticking a smoke in your freshly removed implant hole that’s potentially compromized the structure of your skull may not be the greatest idea, but it’s probably safer than other things people do with cigarettes. Let alone just smoking! PS. Great facial scars!
Previously: smoking feet, smoking girls, smoking zombies, smoking assholes, and smoking labrets… And various smoke breaks during suspension, suspension with pizza and beer, and in the middle of bloodplay.
8mm Deep Chest Piercing
Bruno (BrunoBMA.com) in Italy did this pair of great 8mm deep chest piercings on Ze… I like Ze’s assorted black rectangles a lot as well.
“Be nice”
“Be nice”, warns Hairy, tattooed with these “FORGIVE/FORGET” hand edge tattoos by Dava at English Rose in Peterborough, UK. Don’t miss his unique forhead transdermals as well.
Genital Hyaluronic Acid Gel Injections
I’m not sure that Restylane™ (a cosmetic wrinkle filler of hyaluronic acid gel) is really intended for glans augmentation, but I’ll say it’s about a zillion times safer than the alginate glans injections I posted earlier today. Starting top left is the product as it comes, a couple pictures of topical anesthetic being applied, and the injection and its results (photos/DIY-procedure from the always creative spoon_exe).
