“It was past stupid o’clock, and I only had access to makeup and a camera,” says Ammre. This tongue split (now well healed, since it was done before Pure NYC opened) was done by b-deck.

Mirin Dajo II
I recently posted a video of Mirin Dajo doing intense skewering (he’s unique though because of the depth to which he penetrates his inner body cavity and even organs). I wanted to share some photos of a friend in Germany who also does very intense (and also largely private) body rituals. I want to mention a few things about this set of pictures before people comment, because I spent a moment debating whether it was a good idea to post this publicly rather than just inside BME/HARD:
- These pictures are quite intense. Don’t click them if you’re not OK with that.
- He’s doing fine and has done this before.
- The damage involved is in line with many surgical procedures (liposuction, procedures involving dermal elevation, etc.) and the risks are managable.
- The fact that he’s OK doesn’t mean it’s safe or easy — don’t try this at home unless you absolutely understand the issues.
- There are thousands of people who do this and while unusual, it is not at all unheard of.
- Throughout history thousands more people have done these rituals both publicly and privately for a variety of reasons.
- He’s doing this because he finds it a valuable and worthwhile experience. That’s a good enough reason for him, and it’s a good enough reason for me.

More Human Than Human
Lukas Zpira (Body-Art.net) recently did these amazing 14mm deep chest piercings (see more deep chest piercings on BME as well). These are (of course) on Lucky Diamond Rich, who has worked with Lukas before on projects like this.
Precision Implants
Thanks to implant work by Howie (lunacobra.net), Pauly is now crying hearts (a week old in that photo, so it’s a little bruised), and Little John is hearing hearts. Implants on the surface of the ear are about as rare as they come, due I’m sure in no small part to the potential of both immediate complications, and future risks (don’t take up boxing, John!) because of the sensitivity of the tissue to damage.
50mm to 0mm scalpelling
Hey, you went the wrong direction! 😉 This now-you-see-me-now-you-don’t earlobe reconstruction was done by Felipe Silva of Crew Tattoo in Iquique, Chile.
“Testicular Juicing”
Courtesy of BME/HARD‘s legion of daring adventurers into extreme realms of sensation and experience… The photo you see here is step eight (“drink and enjoy”). If you want to see some of the other steps and you’re of legal age, click on through.
- Tie off testicles tightly.
- Choose a large juicing tool (in this case a 10ga piercing needle).
- Puncture through the scrotum and outer skin of the testicle.
- Be ready with a cup or bowl to collect the juice.
- Collect and save the juice.
- Amaze your friends with the size of the spike in your testicle.
- Become aroused at the though of those friends drinking directly from your testicle.
- Drink and enjoy.
- Repeat steps one through eight.
As a point of trivia, the person in these photos is also in the ModCon book, featured with a grinning Shawn Porter. If you have the book (now out of print), you know what I’m talking about.
Holy Moley.
Urea and his friends get more intense all the time…. This customer (who’s had his first set for I believe over two years now) has six subclavical piercings (last featured here with four of them)… Very extreme — even though I’ve now seen lots of people get and keep them, I don’t think I could ever work up the courage to do it myself… Past my peronal danger line (and remember, I’m the guy who’s tattooing his eyeballs). I really love that Urea is using his arm with those huge implants as a “signature” in photos — it reminds me of Maori chiefs who signed contracts by drawing out their mokos.

Patrick’s Implant and Piercings
Patrick from Denmark has some of the most intense facial mods — tons of piercings, transdermals, and subdermals — of anyone I know, and it’s been fascinating, because he’s been a BME contributor now for quite some time, I’ve been watching it evolve, get sort of chaotic and off balance for a while (sorry), and now come back into focus in what I think is becoming a really mature and great looking set of mods.
