Urea and his friends get more intense all the time…. This customer (who’s had his first set for I believe over two years now) has six subclavical piercings (last featured here with four of them)… Very extreme — even though I’ve now seen lots of people get and keep them, I don’t think I could ever work up the courage to do it myself… Past my peronal danger line (and remember, I’m the guy who’s tattooing his eyeballs). I really love that Urea is using his arm with those huge implants as a “signature” in photos — it reminds me of Maori chiefs who signed contracts by drawing out their mokos.

Incense Brandings
These nine (the top one didn’t scar) incense brands were done by allowing incense cones to burn out completely on the flesh while meditating (so it’s part body ritual, part permanent body modification) — BME has a small ritual branding gallery as well with a little more stuff.
Healed scar handprint
Wow, in terms of healed scarifications (*it’s not totally healed — about three months old in the picture), this definitely places on my top five list… It just looks so natural. These were done by premiere scarification artist Ryan Ouellette, who’s just set up a new site at PBAscars.com that’s dedicated to his work (and of course he has a gallery on BME as well).
Bloody Knuckles
Emilio Gonzalez of Mithos Tattoo, one of many practitioners on an extended world tour, sends in this unusual knuckle skin removal…
Branded Nipples
Ok, I got lectured about it last time, so let me correct myself — branded breasts and aerola. Pretty intense, and one of the few I’e seen. This was done by Bondage Bill at Blue Moon Tattoo in Barnhart, MO.
“Branding Hurts”
This totally oldschool strike branding is being done by Lliezel at Wildfire Body Piercing Clinic in Cape Town, South Africa (the city everyone told me I was an idiot for not visiting when Rachel and I were there).
Implants with scars over them
Wow, Urea‘s intense scarification work coupled with the massive implants he has under them (all self done by the way!) is really something, I mean, to the point where I would think people with zero experience with body modification must really be totally freaked out and not understand what they’re seeing! Urea works at Urea Body Piercing in Joao Pessoa PB Brazil, and has been featured a number of times here on ModBlog before: scalpel scar, money keloid, ubersuggestive skull, giant taper, and huge hand implants. Intense guy, very hardcore about body modification…
Traveling Artists
Jaelbait had this cutting piece done about six months before this photo was taken (it’s about a two month old photo) by Tom Brazda (who I personally consider the brightest mind in body modification in terms of “getting” how the body works) from Toronto when he was touring at Strange City in Edmonton, Alberta.
Robot
This cutting of a cute flower-offering robot by Ben at Future Skin in Ottawa, Canada, on Infested is going to distract her from the terrifying onset of the upcoming human robot apocalypse.
“Linear”
I find precise simple designs like this one that Leelou in Brooklyn did on themself quite fascinating…
