I love it when a plan comes together

Nothing is quite as lovely as a modded wedding, and Cucuy’s and SteelGirl’s wedding was exceptionally so. Not only were his lovely wife and him sporting stretched lobes and other assorted visible mods, but so was their minister!  When I found the wedding photos in the culture gallery, I had a damn hard time deciding which one to use. If you like cool wedding pics, I highly advise you flip through the other ones in the gallery or on Cucuy’s IAM page.

Shhh…

You’ll have to excuse my silence but my hard drive started failing last week and then went completely.  Now that I’m back up and running, I’m trying to get caught up on moderation again.  That’s just what I was doing when I came across this submission from SaD and I thought it was really cool!  The artist is Roman Fursov from Хорс in Lipetsk, Russia.  One of the best parts of moderating images for BME is getting to see the work that comes out of so many different countries. I’ve definitely noticed a rise in submissions from shops outside of the US and Canada and that’s fantastic!

I can’t place the girl but she’s very familiar to me. The portrait is based on the Wasp Queen doll by artist Virginie Ropars.  I love the shading on the face and in particular around her lips and the furrow of her brow.

The all seeing hand

When I was a kid, someone told me “God is watching you…..even when you masturbate.” Obviously, that was not enough to stop me from handling my own business, but I have to admit that phrase haunted me a bit when I saw this tattoo.

As far as palm tattoos go, this piece by Sean “Dirty” Sanchez at Planet Ink (Ottawa, Ontario) looks to have as good a chance as possible of healing up ok. His use of a bold design and simple shading (that looks solidly packed in there) is the proper recipe for a well healed palm tattoo, but only time will tell if it holds up.

Time to get those bodies in shape

Summer is upon us! Time to get those winter bodies in shape and ready for the beach. There are few ways to get the body that you want that are more effective than some good old fashioned training with free weights.

No, this isn’t a “Guess What” post, ANY modblog regular should know damn well what that weight is attached to. However, to keep this on the work safe side of things we will put the obvious behind a click through.

This picture and many more of it’s type can be found in the Kokomi Gallery.

There is not much in this world as orgasmic as a nice long skewer.

It’s hard to go to a US Tattoo Convention without seeing a performance by the lovely CRASH and for good reason, she has managed to flawlessly combine the sexy and the shocking in a way that appeals to a very large audience.

This picture is a perfect example of that. The look on her face as Jawn skillfully manipulates a long skewer through her neck makes the audience wonder if she is in excruciating pain or on the verge of an orgasm. Check out the picture after the break and you can decide for yourself, whether it was a face of pain or pleasure.

Cheating At Solitaire

While perusing the tattoo portrait  galleries looking for potential modblog features I saw a TON of amazing portraits done by Javier (Jade) Campos at Arte Sagrado Tattoo in Lima, Peru. Seriously check out the gallery, then check out the shops web site. In the gallery there were portraits of Jim Morrison, Scott Weiland and about a dozen others. I of course, picked my personal favorite artist of the bunch, Mike Ness to feature here.

Giving in, in the great outdoors.

Summer is here, and you know what that means……beautiful tranquil outdoor suspensions!

Like, for example, this resurrection suspension set up by my friends in ihung.  Check out that rigging plate, besides being a good way to plug the group name, it is also providing a nice support for this young lady to hold onto after coming down from her suspension.

To see her suspending, and to fully see the tranquil setting, keep on keeping on.

That handsome bearded man is Jason, a man who deserves a lot of credit for his contributions to the suspension community over the last several years.

PS: If you would like to partake in a beautiful outdoor piercings yourself, the upcoming ROP Campout in Pittsfield, Mass. would be a good time to do so.

Brian stops the Unstoppable!

Pauly is no stranger to modblog, In fact he has reached damn near celebrity status for his mods and particularly for his stretching. That is why so many people were shocked when he had Brian reconstruct his lobes from 3 3/8″ to nothing!  Before you ask why, take a minute to read Pauly’s blog where he explains his motives.

I don’t know many practitioner’s, bod mod or medical, who have done more ear lobe reconstructions that Brian, and it is evident in the quality of this reconstruction. That’s a genuine compliment, I am not just being nice because it is that delightful sunuvabitch’s  35th birthday today either!

Survey says…

I was looking at the posts on a Facebook group called Tattoo Acceptance in the Workplace.  It got me wondering and so I thought I’d pose some questions to you, dear ModBlog readers.  Are you tattooed?  If so, are any of them visible?  Are tattoos accepted in your workplace?  What industry do you work in?  Where in the world do you live?

I thought it might be interesting to see where visible tattoos are more accepted and where they are completely frowned upon.

I’m throwing in this sick (I hear that’s what kids these days call cool) and totally unrelated tattoo of Davy Jones, submitted by Gotter and inked by Jade Campos out of Arte Sagrado in Peru.
