Here is a video sent from our friends in Pain Solution. These guys really have a great grasp on the performance art side of sideshow performance, and I hope everyone enjoys this video as much as I did.
Apparently it is, according to every commercial on tv and radio, not to mention annoying internet pop ups. So what to do for V-day? That is the big question on everyones mind. You could just stick with the classic romantic candlelit dinner for two, right?
Well, this is BME you’re reading and BME people tend to bring a little bit of body modification and body play into otherwise normal activities, so a classic romantic candlelit dinner may not be your style.
I am sure you can guess where this is going, so if you are on the tamer side of personalities, please keep scrolling down and look at the pretty flower tattoos posted below this. However, if you want to see a BME Hard version of a romantic candlelight dinner for two, keep on keeping on.
Recipe for a BME Hard style perfect Valentines Day.
Serve a fine meal, preferably something with meat so tender it only requires a fork.
Add in some romantic candle light to set the mood.
Renew the tie that binds you two together.
Then, when the evening couldn’t get any more perfect, go ahead and slip that perfect ring onto your lovers finger.
For more creative, romantic and adventurous ideas to help you celebrate Valentine’s Day or any other special occasion please feel free to check out BME Hard.
I thought the perfect way to chase away the winter blues and remind myself (and you) that Spring is around the corner would be with a series of flower tattoos. Who knows, maybe this year will be the year I finally get that flower tattoo I’ve wanted for roughly 15 years.

The T-bar piercing was introduced to most of the piercing world by Tom Brazda, a man who has always been on of the smartest and most innovative body piercers in the world. Since then several other piercers have experimented with and have had success with these as well. So how crazy is it that the most recent picture in the T-bar piercing gallery is from 2005? Sure for some piercings, you can get similar results with microdermals, like this one I posted not too long ago. However, it’s not the same, nor are the jewelry options.
The two most common body parts to get T-bar piercings have always been the nipple and the tongue. Yet, that type of jewelry and piercing could be used for so much more as well. Obviously, the T-bar tongue, could prove extremely detrimental to a persons teeth, but the nipple T-bar is still a cool, technical and different piercing that is just as viable today. There is also ear lobes, genitals and other body parts that could have a whole range of different variations on standard piercings using this type of jewelry.
So piercers of the world, get creative, I would love to see some new T-bar pictures added to this old gallery in 2010.
For a few more shots of T-bar piercings, keep on keeping on.
The T-bar tongue with monofilament hoop as healing jewelry.
The tools used for the T-bar piercing. Keep in mind these pics are probably close to , if not over 10 years old.
Are these key rings implant grade metal? Doubtful.
However it does show a different way to wear “jewelry” in a T-bar piercing.
Out of the pictures I posted this T-bar nipple seems to hold up the best by 2010 standards.
For a great interview with Tom shortly from back in the day that has a brief explanation of the tongue T-bar in this feature, go here.
Really in almost 10 years of being on IAM, never have I come across such a wonderfully clever user name.
He sent me a picture of his septum sans jewelry to use as a “guess what” entry. Unfortunately, once I cropped it down it was just too small to post. So I will give you guys the full picture instead.
For a picture of Mr. Wong with a helluva “mustache” via his 15mm septum, keep on keeping on.
I tell you what, it’s been a crap-tastic week for me and I hear we are expecting more snow, which makes it even worse. Luckily for me this picture of Michael Wong, along with that damn clever IAM name of his, can’t help but make me smile. I hope it has the same affect on you guys.
Time to get your votes coming in! Remember that you MUST submit your vote by email – votes in the comment section will not be counted. Don’t be shy, Boys! Keep submitting your photos!
About being a featured boy: This event is open to all BME Boys age 18 and over. Boys of all shapes, sizes and race are encouraged to submit pictures. Contestants can be dressed or nude, but nothing too pornographic will be featured. Pictures need to be of decent quality, lest the readers condemn me to hell for posting webcam shots. Agreeing to be involved is consenting to be featured in the calendar, if you are selected for it. If you want to suggest someone, feel free to do so. I will contact them and see if they are interested, but no one will be featured without their explicit approval.
About voting: Votes will be tallied by emailing [email protected], just make the subject “Vote (insert name of the guy you choose)” and your vote will be tallied. Votes will be anonymous, there is no reason for anyone to know who voted for whom and how many votes each girl got. This isn’t about competition, it’s about a fun, interactive way to get the readers involved in the selection process.
About Commenting: I am enforcing a strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy for negative comments about the boys. They are being kind enough to share themselves with us and to help BME make a calendar, they should not have to fear public ridicule. Negative comments will be deleted, if we have a repeat offender, all of their future modblog comments will be sent to moderation. This isn’t about censorship, it’s about common courtesy and respect.
We’re looking forward to seeing BME’s most intriguing boys! Let’s see ya, fellas!
Here is another cool piece by Lila Way of True Grit Tattoos in Burlington, ON. This may not be as much of a dumb idea as her boyfriends tattoo, but I really dig this Day of the Dead style Virgin Mary.
Every year there are a few MUST attend events for the body modification community. Events like the APP convention, BME Fest and others are high up on a lot of people’s yearly to-do list.
As of last year, there is a new annual must do event, at least for those people who are involved with suspensions. That event is the Dallas Suspension Practitioner Convention, or Dallas SusCon as it’s more commonly known. Last years event was ground breaking for the suspension community, participants worked together and learned together. Aside from members of the suspension community learning from each other, teachers were pulled in from fields outside of body modification to teach rigging and other various skills applicable to suspension.
Of course, the event is not all learning, there was plenty of fun to be had also, as you can plainly see in this video.
Here’s a brief synopsis from the man behind the event, Allen Falkner:
The 2010 Dallas Suspension Practitioners Convention will take place from Friday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 4th, 2010 in Dallas Texas. The three day event will feature expert speakers, classes in technique and safety, advanced suspensions and entertainment geared toward suspension practitioners.
This event is not for people wanting to attempt their first suspension. If you are new to the art of suspension and would like more information, please contact a group in your area.
Mission Statement:
The objective of this convention is to promote international communication within the suspension community, share information on techniques, protocols and safety measures, and address many concerns that have been arising due to the negative overexposure of suspension in the media. As you surely know, the suspension community has been growing in leaps and bounds with very little education and regulation to keep our industry in check. Events such as the 2010 Dallas Suspension Practitioners Convention afford us the opportunity to provide education and standardize regulation among suspension communities from around the globe.
Our estimated attendance will be 150+ suspension practitioners and body modification professionals. This event is for our suspension community to come together and share knowledge and skills with each other in a socially constructive and beneficial way
For several more pictures from last years inaugural event, keep on keeping on.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make this event and I am sure that will go down on my list of regrets from 2010. If you are a suspension practitioner and you can find a way to go, I highly advise you do so. For more information check out the official website.
