Josh’s Facial Cutting

Josh sent me a letter about his facial cutting which is pictured below after it was done — there are some great gory action shots after the break as well,

This is a project Russ did on my face about five months ago. The three bars are one for each of my sisters — one older, the bigger bar, and two younger ones represented by the smaller bars. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had mod-wise, excluding my facial tattooing [done after the cutting].

If you visit Josh’s IAM page (his main gallery, currently), you’ll see that he’s in the process of doing an entirely fish themed concept body transformation — his face has already been started with scales. He’s planning on doing scalp scarification so his hair grows into a permanent scale pattern, and implanting three dimensional “gills” on his neck as well.

Maybe I don’t get Norwegian humor?

Oddbjorn says that he figured out the “huge all important question of…”

What do you do with your hands and feet while in a resurrection suspension?

You just:

1) Hook both your wrists in a loop behind your back.
2) Put both your feet into the loop.
3) Pull and enjoy.

He also sends out thanks to Haavve and the Wings of Desire suspension team, which I can definitely agree with! This was done at the December 27th Susday in Oslo.

Consolation Corset

Amber sent me a shot of her best friend’s upper arm corset piercing (“she was a trooper though it all — lots of squirming and ‘oh fucks’ were involved, but no tears”), which she got after losing her hip piercings the week before. They were done for the Pomona Convention, but she’s planning on babying them with the hope that she’ll be able to keep them as long as possible. Rick Anders at DV8 Tattoos and Body Piercing in Vallejo, California did them for her.

BME 2007 Top Contributor Awards

This is the last time we will speak in 2007, and I’d like to thank everyone for their help on BME this year. In perfect timing, the new BME stickers arrived this morning (they match the year-end shirts), so those of you placing orders with BMEshop may find these as gifts. Those of you getting the free top contributors shirts and are on the list should already have an email from me about it, but if you don’t, please write me. Oh, and I’d be happy to send stickers out to people hosting BME-related events as well (as soon as I am permitted to moderate events you’ll see lots more there I hope).

Thank you again to everyone who supported BME in 2007 (especially Sacred — seriously, wow!), and click the picture to continue on to the year end awards. ModBlog updates will resume in a few days.

See you in 2008,
