While snooping around the Very Unusual Piercings I found this photo which is…very unusual. A double navel piercing uploaded by SaintMary in 2004 that is a bit more interesting than it might sound.

Ran across Only Flesh the other day. They are a band local to me (Pittsburgh,PA) that really puts body modification at the forefront. The video features a ton of suspension/ pull stuff and the singer is heavily modified. Its nice to see bands going the distance to put on an unforgettable show and a unique aesthetic.

Now I may have just been slacking on my ear pointing updates, but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen ear pointing done this way before (feel free to post in the comments if you have and I’ll update!).
I have never personally performed ear pointing but this looks like its much less invasive (albeit a bit less extreme looking) than conventional means. I don’t have much background on this photo, if anyone can shed a little light in the comments by all means do so!

Also there is for sure something to be said about that completely rad mega tragus piercings! We actually covered them before but they’re looking better than ever with all that bling!
Normally my piercer mind would group these self done permanent piercings on Stormchaser into the “That’ll never heal” category. I am however frequently surprised at the things folks can keep long term. These are all seven years old! If you’ve never heard the term “Permanent Piercing” take a look at the BME Wiki page for it.

I ran across Pahakaksonen’s nail bed tattoo in the gallery today and it got me thinking that although we’ve talked about nail bed tattoos before I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one where the nail has fully regrown.
Giving directions just got way easier
I would imagine that healing a missing fingernail isn’t the easiest thing in the world, so the fact that more ink didn’t fall out of this is pretty neat. I can clearly tell what it is, and I wonder if it will hold up as well (or better) than a conventional tattoo.

I really dig how well Mirka X Mythra‘s piercings are paired up! I’ve always liked projects where an untrained eye might not know where one piece of jewelry begins and another ends. Everything gets pulled off really well without seeming cluttered.
