Play Piercing & Modeling. What were you thinking?
SugarNSpice send in a photo of her getting both legs tattooed in tandem as well as both of her arms getting tandem corsets as well. The work was done by Kaz, Amanda, Bert and Kaelyn at Stiletto Haus in Grand Rapids, MI. BME isn’t here to judge but we are here to document what’s going on in the world of Body Modification. I’m not sure why she wanted to do all of these things at once but I hope that everything heals up well.
Alex did a Marylin Monroe surface weaving. This is definitely different than your standard play piercing session. Arawak from Saintes, France did the weaving though there wasn’t much info on the “why?”, not that we need a reason, it’s just nice to have sometimes. See, now, some people may not agree with the opinion that this play piercing project by Mike Kelton of Karma Tattoo and Body Piercing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is, in fact, a better and more effective sartorial option than the shoulder strap that has been eschewed in favor of it. “But Jordan,” they say, “it does not help keep her shirt on, nor does it fit with the shirt’s color scheme! It is merely a nicely executed design constituting a series of needles that serves no actual structural purpose at all!” To which we reply, Exactly. More procedural photos after the jump.

Whoa hey, lots of great play piercing photos around these parts lately, no? These things feel cyclical sometimes, and what better way to keep the cycle going than with another revolution—like, say, with this lovely set sent in by (and featuring) SweetNausea, for whom this 13-needle session was a graduate photography project. The final product, of course, became the hit Pixar summer tear-jerker Up. We think. Either way, we should all be so lucky to have such fun for school, right? Following up on yesterday’s most impressive play piercing session, we’re pleased to show off the latest submission from valued ModBlog contributor Cris Black out of Atlanta, Georgia, who just kicks all kinds of play-piercing ass, all the time.
Here’s a 20-piece chest play project I did on my friend (who wants to be known only as E.). Other than her septum and lobes, she has no other piercings and no tattoos, so I was very happy to have been able to help her with he first foray into play piercing. I was assisted in this project by my new apprentice, Haley, who was also one of the models for the wings play-piercing that has been featured here on ModBlog.

Eighty is a rough estimate, of course, but however many it is, we are thoroughly impressed with this play piercing set featuring Bittra! Working the needles is Dau of Sundbyberg, Sweden’s Pain Division, who was apparently called in for this “spontaneous” session. Resourceful!
