Loose Heart Cuttings
Maggie had these hearts cut for her by (obviously, since it’s signed) Howie (Luna Cobra). When I say “loose” I mean the design’s big loose strokes, which I think will leave a nice organic shape in the end… so you won’t quite know whether it’s an intentional heart scar, or if it’s whipmarks that just happen to have healed that way…

This large electrocautery brand is freshly done in this photo, by Shawn O’Hare at Fillmore Tattoo and Piercing in Fillmore, CA. Visually I love the placement, but depending on the way she scars it might be hard to get it to heal evenly… (Note for the not-sharp-eyed: check out the microdermals too!).
Healed Snowflake Cuttings
As a vague followup to the snowflakes that Wayde cut that I posted back in December, let me share a similar piece on Shannon who had these cut by Brian while he was in Cincinatti about six weeks ago.
It’s alright, I’m a Jedi
Sinister sends in this shot of Zack Nigel’s Rebel Alliance palm branding, done by Matt Bruce while stationed at The Rebel Base at Yavin in Edmonton, Alberta (a part of Canada more regularly confused with Hoth). According to Zack, his fifteen minutes of having his palm branded was definitely more painful that his nine hours of head tattoos.
How do you say “Lizardman” in Braille?
Denny got this scaled branding (at about ten days in this photo) done by Reverend Decay at American Tattoo in Knoxville, MD. It should be interesting how it looks and feels as it goes through the stages of healing. (Point of trivia — if you’re wondering what it would have looked like if The Lizardman had done this prior to his tattoos, the answer is “nothing”, because he barely scars).
