Dave wrote me the other day to let me know he’d redone his facial scars. Apparently they didn’t work as he’d wanted the first time. Quinten from Kalima Body Piercing Studio in Worthing, England “burnt him a little deeper for a better scar.” He also included a photo of him and John “fooling around” after the branding was complete. I hope to see these healed and I hope they work out this time. I can’t imagine it’s a procedure you want to do a third time. Practice makes perfect, I suppose.

Hot on the heels of this vulgar hell-demon, here we have a fine facial flesh-removal piece by the eyebrow-impaired Brandon Vermillion at High Class Tattoos in Ventura, California. There’s a lot to appreciate here: First of all, it’s good, solid cutting that seems to be healing rather well. Second? You’re not going to find a better excuse to break out some Anchorman quotes. Free reign, folks.

Let’s begin our Wednesday smorgasbord with this shot of “Mr. Lees Boat,” if that is his real name, featuring some brand new circular facial scarification work by the great Iestyn (lots more). As always, we’ll be very curious to see how these suckers heal, but between his jewelry and new scars, ’tis a fine theme emerging.

The last time we saw The Enigma‘s facial cutting, the pictures were a little on the low-resolution side, but luckily, Scenester has swooped in with some nice bright shots of our blue friend getting some X’s cut out over his mouth. As part of our continuing mission to bring you the best in healed and healing scarification pieces, here’s a fancy update to this facial flesh-removal on Reece by Iestyn a little while back. It’s no big surprise coming from Iestyn, but the healing seems to be coming along quite nicely. We’re not sure what else Reece has planned (tattooing over the scars a la Lucky Diamond Rich, for example), but we’re definitely curious to see how his appearance progresses from here on out.

Last time we saw The Enigma, he had just gotten some wild skin removal scarification, with John Durante having cut out big X’s around his eyes. He also had a ton of facial piercings covering the lower half of his face. And, well…Durante took care of those, too, apparently. I’m looking very forward to the inevitable commenters who’ll remark that they hope Enigma knows he’s never going to find a job looking like this.

I have to admit, for a split second when I saw these shots of Reece’s facial cuttings by Iestyn, my thought was, “When did Lucky Diamond Rich stretch his nostrils?!” The full-facial black tattoo is pretty high on the list of radical transformations a person can undergo, but when it’s well executed (as it certainly is in this case), the result is really wonderful, I think, and I’m very curious to see how these healed scars add to Reece’s appearance! And so here is international playboy John Durante, hanging out at the Baltimore Tattoo Arts Convention at the end of January, and just cold skewering folks all over the place (including the lovely Tracie) as part of a performance involving, among others, Nu Ethix Suspensions.
