Guerrilla Suspension (or: “Suspension Delivery”)!
c/o Nu Ethix, Ascension, and Rites of Passage:
Wax Suspension
This sculpture, currently in wax and eventually in plastic or broze, was made by superubberchicken in California. The final version is going to use something different for hooks though.
Pulling as a part of growing up
I got this nice email from Havve from Pain Solution;
Hi guys!
My oldest son, Kai, who’s turning 15 in three months, did his first pulling yesterday. His been eager to do a suspension for about a year, after some consideration I decided to let him try a pulling. He proved to be brave and made both me and his mom proud!

Webbed Toe Cutting
The story behind this play is actually quite fascinating — the person in the picture was born with webbed toes on their right foot. As a teenager they wanted to normalize this, so using a razor blade they started cutting the web slowly with a razor blade, using pressure to notch in the web. Bleeding was relative minor. In any case, they discovered that they enjoyed this activity and found it exciting, and started doing it recreationally as well with other, unwebbed, toes, and are considering an amputation.
Anyway, I always find it very interesting to find out what the catalyst is that causes people to stumble upon, and then discover that they enjoy, heavy play and modification.
Biopocket Eyeglasses Case
What, you have a better place to keep your glasses when you’re not wearing them? This is the same person I’ve featured before doing very intense subcutaneous play — it goes without saying that unless you’ve autoclaved them, putting your glasses under your skin is kind of risky (and even then it still is), but I’m thinking that because of how much he’s done this play he’s probably “exercised” his immune system to the point where he has Wolverine-like healing powers.

Suspension or Exercise?
While it’s true that dynamic rigging does adjust somewhat for motion, Neek pretty much would have to hold that pose the whole time to keep the weight distributed in this forearm suspension… Well, might as well kill two birds with one stone and get his workout done at the same time! Next time: Knee suspension crunches.
“Fun with needles and spears”
Thanks to CJ and Dana at HTC in Tempe, AZ:
Ouch, my toes!
Some people have told me this really wouldn’t hurt very much to do and might be kind of fun if you’re in the right mood. I beg to differ. Seriously, I think if I had the choice of nailing my toe to a board or nailing my nutsack to a board, I’m going with nutsack every time… For no good reason toe skewering really freaks me out!
