Another 200 or so new photos have been added to BME so far today including this one. The piercings were done by Samantha Robles out of WAY Body Arts in Santa Cruz, California.
You’re looking at a healed 6ga philtrum. I’m not sure what gauge the nostrils are but I love the way these piercings compliment the face; especially the way the philtrum sits in the center of an exaggerated bow. I think this mouth was made for a philtrum, how about you?

“Your flesh means more than you”, I have no clue what that’s supposed to mean, but it sure sounds deep! Anyhow, I like the design of this scar and the wording seems to tie in well even if it’s meaning is a bit over my head.
This piece comes to us from Rato at Guru Tattoo in Portugal. For a few closeups, keep on keeping on.
My friend Emily, showed me this picture because she loved the tattoo. It’s not just Emily that loves this though, every single female I show this tattoo to seems to absolutely love it.
This tattoo on Yomee was done by Mimsy of Mimsy’s Trailer Trash Tattoo, which interestingly enough operates out of a 1959 qualicraft caravan trailer!
In keeping with fairness to the sexes, since I featured one of Yomee’s tattoos that all of my female friends loved, I suppose it is only right I feature Yomee’s self done tattoo that myself and all of my male friends seem to love. To see that one though, you are going to have to keep on keeping on.
Up until yesterday I would have said nothing. Then I saw this.
I had the pleasure of meeting (and staying with) Dan a few years back. He was incredibly nice except when he refused to speak to me until I started speaking to him in French. Here we are in his shop, demonstrating the difference between tall and short.

I’ve always been a huge fan of his work and who could blame me? Check out some of Dan’s new work.
Dan will be at the New York Tattoo Convention in May but I’m told he’s all booked up. If you’re having tattoo envy and want to get inked by Dan, your best bet is to plan a trip to Belgium so you can see him at his shop, Calypso Tattoo, in Liege. As for me, I’m afraid I’ll just have to keep dreaming for now.
I love flesh hooks and oddly enough I love vans. I don’t know if it was the A-Team or the tacky 70′s/80′s custom vans, but I am ready for vanning to make a come back. So obviously, I had to feature a picture that combines hooks and vans.

This interesting piece was only Jamie Mahood’s second attempt at realistic color work. To date she’s only been tattooing 2.5 years but her work definitely doesn’t seem like it came from a rookie artist. Perhaps that is due to the great tattoo lineage from which she learned. She apprenticed under Wes Grimm who is the great grandson of Bert Grimm. Jamie currently works at Suffer City Tattoo in Dallas, TX.
