The Wolf Below

And here we have some more ass-kickery from Charles Finnie in the form of this English ivy cutting. Did we just post one of Finnie’s cuttings a few days ago? Hell yes we did. Are we posting another one today? Hell yes we are. Why? Because Finnie has incriminating pictures of me it’s just that good.

Happy Friday, ModBloggers. More after the jump.

The Great Gymnasium

“Why?” asks the student. “Why ‘Needles’?”

“Because,” the swami answers, “that is his name.”

And then they danced.

(Really though, that’d be Needles, apprentice of Six at Toronto’s Exotix Studios, wearing a fine cutting of his own moniker.)

His Goal In Life Was To Be An Echo

So, further evidence seems to indicate that “Mark” (one entry below) is, in fact, a man, and not some sort of avian hell-beast. That up there, though? That’s a bird, alright, and one of the goddamn cutest scars I’ve seen in a while to boot, being sported by the lovely Zara.

Good afternoon, ModBlog. Above is a gift for anyone who placed the title quote from yesterday’s bird post, and below is for anyone curious about today’s. Tweet tweet.

Dead Leaves Scatter, Hour by Hour

The last time we featured Jen‘s work here, we were looking at these heavy-duty clavicle cuttings. Now, however, she sends in this lovely sunflower scarification, done in three-and-a-half hours — one of the last pieces she did at Tattoo Angus before moving to Philadelphia for her new position at Infinite. Check out another shot, after the jump.

Tenderized

I would be remiss if I didn’t take a second to mention all the phenomenal animal-related tattoos and scarification projects we’ve been getting lately. I know there can be a little push-back on here when it seems like we’re too thematically static for extended periods of time, but you’ll have to forgive us, because really, we’re just getting inundated (in a good way) with so much great stuff. Like, for example, this phoenix cutting by Brooklyn dandy Brian out of Williamsburg’s Pure Body Arts, which looks positively ground-beefy fresh as it is in this shot, but if anyone can make a piece like this work, it’s probably him. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the results.

Human Marvels

Last time we saw The Enigma, he had just gotten some wild skin removal scarification, with John Durante having cut out big X’s around his eyes. He also had a ton of facial piercings covering the lower half of his face. And, well…Durante took care of those, too, apparently. I’m looking very forward to the inevitable commenters who’ll remark that they hope Enigma knows he’s never going to find a job looking like this.

A close-up healing shot of these new scars, after the jump.

Thy Will Be Done

We’re gonna have a whole lot more Dallas SusCon photos filtering in shortly, but let’s keep it in-house for now with these lovely shots of Miss Cookie as captured by BME’s own Phil Barbosa. Those are some long since healed branding scars on her chest (as well as 3D implants), and after the jump, check out some scars on her stomach with outlines cut in with scalpels and filled in with electrocautery branding, all by her husband, Steve Haworth.

Getting Shit Dunn III

We’ve been following Eric‘s intense thigh-and-more scarification from the beginning (here and here), and now we have yet another update! This time around, you’re looking at a piece that is just over eight months old (or 21,168,000 seconds…or 248 days…and so on) and it has raised just beautifully. It should come as no surprise, of course, that this was done by The Thunder From Down Under, Wayde Dunn while in scenic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Swallow Cutting – UPDATE

As promised yesterday, here’s a two-week-old healing shot of these swallow cuttings by Anders at Flesh Impressions in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia. There’s still plenty of time to see how these progress, so hopefully Anders keeps us in the loop!

Close-ups of each cutting, after the jump.
