Also Coming to the Philly Convention? BME!

(Self-done BME logo cutting by Jon Underwood — his first, no less!)

As if John Joyce, John Durante, Brian Decker and Ryan Ouellette weren’t enough to get you to the upcoming Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention, running in scenic Philadelphia from February 27 to March 1, hold onto your butts, because BME will be there too! And not just walking around fondling people, either — we’ll have a booth and everything! The ever-lovely MissMeg will be on hand to pierce, and Rachel will be there holding down the fort, filming, taking photos, selling T-shirts [Note: buy T-shirts, lots of them] and doing all sorts of fun giveaways. This is shaping up to be one hell of a weekend, friends — get there.

Also, there is still space available for people/shops/etc. looking for booths. Visiting the convention’s web site for details, or call Troy at 215-882-1362.

I Don’t Care For Any Casanova Thing

I was going to post this on Valentine’s Day, but I thought, Hey, people are jaded enough about this phony, manufactured holiday as it is, so why compound that with a poopy J. Geils reference? But now, well, Valentine’s is a year away, so let’s poop all over it, right? This tattoo belongs to Ashley, who says, “Nobody breaks my heart without me getting a ridiculous tattoo about it.” That’s the spirit!

Roots Among the Rocks

The rubber king of Williamsburgh, xPUREx, sends in this recent cutting out of his very own Pure Body Arts studio in Brooklyn, New York. And, much like Ryan Ouellette yesterday, he will also be at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention from February 27 to March 1, and wouldn’t you know it? He just had a cancellation, and is available all day on the Friday. Visit him on IAM or at PureBodyArts.com to set up an appointment.

Seven Crowns Grand Opening in Toronto! (Feb. 13, 2009)

A Dia De Los Muertos-ish skull surrounded by candy and cupcakes? That’d be the handiwork of Matt Ellis, one of Toronto’s finest tattoo artists and the co-proprietor, along with George Brown, of Seven Crowns Tattoo, their brand new private custom studio! These guys have a combined 9,000 years of experience, and this is the sort of unholy coalition that just begs for a grand opening party to be thrown on Friday the 13th. Party info is after the jump.

Come celebrate the Grand opening of George Brown and Matthew Ellis’ new custom tattoo studio. Seven Crowns Tattoo. Seven Crowns features two of Toronto’s finest artists working in a clean, relaxed private studio. That being said, a party is going on, and all are invited. Cheap drinks, free food, NO COVER and all the tattooed Torontonians that one person can handle. Have questions, call 416 322 7696, or call Rockie Raccoon’s at 416 484 6464.

Nice Shooting, Son

I definitely feel like I’m missing the reference here, so until someone enlightens me as to who or what the subject of this stellar piece by Dustin Poole from Sacred Balance actually is, I’m just going to believe it to be the cyber-sexy offspring of Silver Surfer and lovable droid C3PO. Prove me wrong, ModBlog! Prove me wrong.
