A Hundred Souls and a Hundred To Go

The last time we saw Cookie, we caught a glimpse of some of her 3D implants and scarification work, but, quite frankly, that was just the tip of the iceberg as far as her rather intense and extremely impressive body of modification work goes. The implants are (obviously?) by her husband, the illustrious Steve Haworth, tattoos by Nicole McCord, and the scar work you can see is by our favorite ubiquitous Australian, Wayde Dunn, at the Haworth Mod Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. More pictures, of course, after the jump.

Stripped to the Bone

“Jordan,” the commenters ask, “you know how we enjoy the backpieces, the majestic suspension pictures and the breathtaking scarification work, but where are all the wangs?” Well, ask and you shall receive, gentle commentariat. Here we have Alex, he of Brussels, Belgium, sporting two 6 mm. rod and bead implants apiece, to say nothing of the all-seeing eye at the head of the class there. The implants almost remind me of simple runes, but the eye? The eye knows you’re afraid.

Spice Our Schedules

I swear, if young master xPUREx keeps it up, visiting his Williamsburg Pure Body Arts studio is going to be a mainstay checklist item for travelers coming to New York, right up there with poking around the Statue of Liberty, eating a slice of pizza from every parlor with “Ray’s” in the name and enduring crippling beat-downs after foolishly asking every woman in Times Square if she’s “working.” (Damn you, Giuliani!) Back to the issue at hand here, though, these implants are a nice fit, aren’t they? I guess that’s what one would expect with implantation by the aforementioned xPUREx and implant pieces carved* by Steve Haworth. Another shot, after the jump.

*Not carved! Says the implanter himself: “These pieces actually were not carved. Steve was nice enough to attach some rods and domes together with silicone in it’s liquid form as a “glue,” so that i wouldn’t have to carve them.” Thanks for the heads-up!

Older and Better

Greetings, ModBloggers! Let’s begin our Wednesday smorgasbord with this shot of “Mr. Lees Boat,” if that is his real name, featuring some brand new circular facial scarification work by the great Iestyn (lots more). As always, we’ll be very curious to see how these suckers heal, but between his jewelry and new scars, ’tis a fine theme emerging.

I’ll Rise

Continuing today’s love affair with Russia, here we have a heart-shaped implant by Moscow’s Sergey Tyler (of Tattoo Factory) in the hand of, hmm, a corpse? Wait, no, that’s not dirt—it’s just harmless blood. Ha, well, don’t I feel sheepish. Really though, great picture; first person to claim it was Photoshopped gets a stern lecture from The Iron Sheik. Don’t think he won’t do it.

This is What Happens When You Bang Your Implant

So … that’s unpleasant. A cautionary tale:

Well this is a lesson learned: Never fight if you have implants. I banged my arm on a wall during a fight and this was the result. It started off as a small graze and over a week the pressure opened the hole right up. The implant is clearly visible and it got infected; obviously, it had to be removed.

Guhhh. See? A life of nonviolence, among the many other benefits, will probably keep your implants from rotting out of your goddamn arm. At any rate, we wish this fella the best of luck in healing.
