Till It Fades

Hey now! I think we can largely agree that floral tattoos are typically pleasant, but this piece by Jared at Covenant in Fort Collins, Colorado? This is one hell of a bold, statement-making floral tattoo. This is about as “go big or go home” as floral tattoos get. We’re going to go out on a limb (or stem? Right? Right?) and guess this woman is no shrinking violet. Er, rose.

Note: BME apologizes for the puns and plays on words included in this post.

You Know Her Name

The last time we featured Brianna here on your old pal ModBlog, we got a pretty good look at her Nerd Life and BME tattoos, but weren’t really offered a similar vantage point of her Amaryllis flower shoulder tattoos by Tim Senecal at Pisst Fish in West Springfield, Massachusetts (who is also working on the aforementioned BME piece). Which, you know, is a shame, considering we love the placement, and they’re awfully pretty to boot. But hey, while the Internet may never forget, at least it lets us right our wrongs on occasion, so enjoy. A few more shots in different locations, after the jump.

Tumbling Through The Trees

My, what a shocking turn of events! The hell-box your editor uses to accomplish various daily feats of ModBloggery has decided to poop itself repeatedly today, resulting in more cursing than usual here at headquarters in addition to the throbbing forehead vein of doom. Anyway! Things have (hopefully?) sorted themselves out somewhat, but we think it best to ease ourselves back in gradually, starting with Aleksandra’s calming floral sleeve by Toffi at Ink-Ognito in Rybnik, Poland. And…breathe.

The Boughs They Break

Good day, fair ModBloggers! Now, would you look at this: The lovely Natasha has taken quite a tumble! Whoever left out this ottoman in a dark room should be ashamed of themselves. She was just on her way to the kitchen, in the middle of the night, to pour herself a glass of ginger ale, and then bam, a nasty, avoidable spill. Granted, it’s a nice view for us, and hey, who doesn’t love the asymmetric back-piece? For a more direct view, take a gander after the jump.

He Done Blind Me

Hey now, here’s a fine-looking piece being sported by Azreal. It’s not always easy to take traditional elements like flowers, banners and script and make them look truly fresh, but I think this really works. The coloring on the lilies is great, and, my Latin is a little rusty, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe those are the lyrics to Witchy Woman, which, hey, nice touch.

(Tattoo by Jimmy G. at Five Cents Tattoo in Ottawa, Ontario. And those are obviously not Eagles lyrics. I am just an idiot.)

Stones from my Enemies

“It isn’t nearly as extreme or interesting as the majority of your other pictures,” Danielle writes, “but it was my first tattoo and it took 12 hours, and I’m rather pleased with it. I’ll understand if it doesn’t count for either lack of interest, quality or lack of a decent picture — can’t hurt to try though, right?”

I think Danielle is being a bit too hard on herself!
