BMEGirls make the world go ’round

Rachel (aka Snake Woman) has sent in yet another series of pictures that showcase just how great the BMEGirls tag can be.  This time around she’s showing off her half-sleeve by Frank Pirrone.

Now before you get upset that I’ve been posting more BMEGirls than BMEBoys, I pick the images from the submissions sent in by you, the ModBlog reader.  So boys, send in those photos.  I’m 100% certain there’s a lot of people out there wanting to see some BMEBoys.

Biomech is the new black

When I first started hearing the word “biomechanical” in reference to tattooing it almost always referred to H.R. Giger’s art, or work done in a similar fashion. As the years passed biomech started to become more organic and colorful thanks to the influence of tattooist like Guy Aitchison.

As much as I like the colorful stuff, I definitely have a sweet spot for the Giger-ish pieces and I was pretty blown away by this back piece by Adam Collins from Lal Hardy’s Tattoo in London.

Biomechanical tattoo? I don’t see anything but Ricub.

So yesterday, I went cruising the BME tattoo galleries looking for potential Modblog features. That’s when I noticed the newest entry in the Biomechanical Tattoo gallery. The only problem was when I looked at the picture I didn’t notice any biomech tattoos, all I could focus on was Ricub’s perfect form. After a few short hours of admiring her, I FINALLY saw the biomechanical tattoo! It’s on her beefcake of a boyfriend, Sick who also happened to be in the picture.

I got to thinking that Ricub MUST be one of the sexiest ladies on BME. Then I thought about Siren and Jasmine and Joli and Jes and Resilent and…..well I could go on all day easily. So starting this evening, every Friday will be BME Girl Friday! I will feature a few of the sexiest ladies BME has to offer and you guys will vote on your favorites! Every month we will have a winner and at the end of the year those 12 sexy ladies will go into a BME Girls calendar!

Full details tonight, but for now keep reading to enjoy more of Ricub.

Now it’s time for tattoos

If it’s not Brasil, it’s Russia flooding my inbox. It makes me happy though because it seems like every other country is still super stoked and excited about the body  mod world in which we live in.. Today’s Russian tattooer is mysteriously known as “El Tattoo”. That’s literally all I’ve got as far as background on him. This is a bio mech body suit that’s in the works. Drag The Lake

And now, folks, it’s time to turn in for the evening, leaving behind a fine day of posts in our wake. Let’s finish things off with his bright and colorful bio-mechanical piece by Chris Krahn, he of the namesake Krahnic Body Art in Boise, Idaho. My favorite part? Has to the be the whirlpools on the elbow. And I know I’ve said it before, but man, isn’t it amazing that that’s what we all look like under our skin? The human body is a marvel and a mystery, truly.

Wet and Squidgy in the Middle

We showed off Babylovedoll yesterday in all her orange glory, and today it’s a pleasure to start the day with this piece, described only as “orange,” by Terry Ribera, who’s been splitting his time between Avalon Tattoo II in San Diego, California, and Daredevil Tattoo in New York City. It’s pretty easy for bio-mech stuff to end up looking samey, but Ribera’s work is so damn solid it’s pretty hard not to appreciate. What can I say? I’m a sucker for citrus-powered limbs.

Jump to the Left, Turn to the Right

Even if our friend a post below can go either way on St. Patrick’s Day, the sentient alien ooze that’s covered and commandeered the body and soul of this gentleman? Loves to party. Loves it. Ever seen bio-mechanical ooze do a kegstand? Get ready. Gonna be epic.

(This excellent biomech suit is by David Wiper at Modern Savage in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK.)
