Shelly’s 4-ever? It’s Angel’s now!

Digging through the images I have found for this week, I seem to be coming across a general theme……bad ideas. So I think I might be making this bad idea week on modblog and try and post at least one bad idea a week. Some are blatantly bad ideas and others, like the one in this post are more open to interpretation.

Most people agree that getting your significant other’s name on you is generally considered a bad idea. In fact, I am sure lot’s of people thought that the gentleman getting Shelly’s 4-Ever tattooed on his penis was a bad idea. Hell, his now ex-wife Shelly even chimed in on this in the comments thread for that post.

This is Shelly… Ya there is a reason 4 him doing it. No I did not tell him to do it, actually i told him he was crazy for doing it. It was his way to say he would never cheat again. Believe me girls could care less about the name there! Needless to say we r divorced now.

Well Al Farber, the artist and wearer of that now infamous piece emailed me an update to the saga.

Well I covered up my ex wife’s name with my new girl’s name, lol. I’ve been tattooing for 18 years and seen many names on people and I just thought it would look pretty cool there, lol . So I sat down one day and started tattooing my dick it took 13 hours and I broke it up into 3 parts 5 hours then 4 each time after that and I did it back in 2003 it’s never been recolored or touched up, so it stayed pretty good for all the wear and tear I’ve put it through all these years lol…. Well I gave  you two new picks of mine and one of my girls with my name on her, lol .
For a picture of the new improved “Angel’s 4-ever” tattoo on Al and “Al’s kitty” on Angel, keep on keeping on.

You can never grow old and you can never die, but you must feed!

Before vampires sparkled, they were cool. They wore leather and rode motorcycles and lived in a place called Santa Carla! To the wearer of this tattoo, I salute you! This was my favourite movie when I was a kid and remains so to this day. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Max.

More after the jump.

Rooster of Prick Tattoos in San Antonio, Texas sent these shots in. You can see a few more pieces in the portrait tattoo gallery on BME. Here are a couple more for you.

And I must end this post with the sexiest Lost Boy of them all, Dwayne.

I didn’t see any shots of David (though they may have been submitted prior to this batch) but I’m hoping we get to see more of this piece and I’d love to hear from the wearer about why they decided to pay tribute in ink to the greatest vampire film of all time.

Have a great weekend folks and hey, why not rent The Lost Boys (or if you own it like me pull it out of the dvd pile) for the sake of old times. Just don’t invite any vampires in to watch with you!

Happy Birthday Patrick

My good friend and mentor, Patrick Bartholomew turned a ripe young 63 today. For the past several decades Patrick has been an active part of the body piercing/modification  world, and one never afraid to push the boundaries. For a good interview with him, check out this 1997 interview he did for BME.

Patrick’s not on IAM as much anymore these days, but feel free to blow up his facebook with birthday wishes!

The best thing on British TV since Mr. Bean?

My favorite crazy Brits, the Psycho Cyborgs, are up to something.  Recently they took over Camden High Street in London for ten minutes. They are working on a new project and this was one of many upcoming promotions for that project. They can’t tell us too much about it, because the whole point of this is that they are building up interest for when it’s “released” in September – It should  be incredible though!

SERIAL DRILLER

Reality shows – Tried, tested and tired of seeing them all? Think again!!

Horror movies? Well, we have all seen at least a few that have made us cringe, jump, and sometimes be shocked at by all the blood, guts, gore and a few weapons of choice. After it’s finished off you go to bed feeling entertained but knowing it wasn’t real.

But what if it were? And what if you, the viewer, were in complete control?

Well now you are…

This is gonna be utterly insane. Pure sickness!

It’s entertainment. It’s gore. It’s blood. It’s fun. It’s pain.

And it’s REAL.

Not ON the Adam’s Apple!

I tell you what I was never a big fan of blackwork tattooing until I started seeing some of the amazing stuff posted here. This piece by  Rain Partlow (Under the Needle in Seattle, WA) is a prime example of excellent black work (with a touch of color). It flows well with the clients body  and it perfectly avoids the Adam’s Apple, a spot that I though hurt like hell!

Jamie’s 15 minutes

Most of you modblog regulars remember Jamie from the recent post showing the gaping wound in her arm being fingered. Well, aside from her interest in creating new orifices to fondle, she’s also fond of body modification history, as she made evident with her quick and flawless answers to my trivia questions.

As the winner of the trivia, she get’s another 15 minutes of modblog fame. So without any further ado, here’s Jamie!

For several more pictures and some words from jamie, Keep on keeping on.

I’m Jamie Mayhem. I’m part of the suspension team called Ritual Arisings, we’re based out of the Detroit, MI area. I’m also into performance art and modeling. Turn-ons include- boys and girls with lots of mods, latex clothing, medical devices, zombies, riot grrrls, and people that look good covered in blood.

Most of my tattoos were done by Chris McNeill, who now owns Rebel City Tattoo in Cleveland, OH.

Some of the photos here are suspension pics, some are modeling pics that showed some of my ink. The forearm suspension is from Dallas SusCon, it’s what led to the pic of the hole in my arm that was recently Modblogged. The tandem suspension is with BIOHAZARD.

Love can be very subtle

Jess sent me this picture of her extremely subtle tattoo. This placement seems to be getting more and more common, even though it has an extremely low success rate. That being said, sometimes it does work and when it does, it can be quite awesome!

I got these beauties done on the 11th of may, it would appear that they have worked! i’m not letting myself get excited just yet, I think once I’ve past the 5 week mark i’ll start to relax about the ink falling out, and get to enjoy them!
For a totally different type of tattoo about love inside the hand, check back later this week!

I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker

I’m just going to go ahead and say my immediate reaction to this tattoo was “Wow.”  The hands are really something and I’m a really big fan of this piece and the others that the artist, Alexandru Petcu, uploaded to BME.  He works out of Spunk Tattoo and you’ll have to get yourself to Bucharest if you want to get some work done by him.  Judging by this photo and the others he uploaded to BME, I’d say it would be worth the trip.

This photo was submitted combined like this but I’ve separated them and included another shot after the jump so you can get a closer look.
