Above the Range

We last featured Winnipeg’s Kurt Wiscombe as part of BME’s coverage of the Art Fusion Experiment two summers ago, where he was among a group of collaborators that included Paul Booth, Matt Ellis and Alex Adams. Kurt’s artistic credentials, clearly, are no joke, so it should come as no surprise that he would be responsible for a piece as handsome as this “waves, rocks and peonies” sleeve. Luckily for all of us, we’ve got a few more shots post-jump.

Garnished the Heavens

As many of you know, we try our damnedest here on ModBlog to not just feature scarification pieces in all of their stunning freshness, but also, when possible, to show the multiform and often unpredictable ways in which such projects can heal. Up above, we’ve got part of a serpentine skin-removal piece by Rion out of Deep Roots in Seattle, Washington, and this doesn’t quite look like it was scratched in there with a kitten’s claw—that deep middle section in particular looks designed to produce a hearty scar. After the jump, we see this gentleman’s back two months into the healing process, and a hearty scar it is.

It’s a little uneven in parts, but again, this is still relatively early as far as healing is concerned, and hey, we think it’s worthy of documentation either way in the interest of keeping track of scar progression. Hopefully more updates will follow.

So Convincingly Real

You folks are swell sometimes, you know that? After Twyla Sue showed up earlier in the week with his veritable cabinet of curiosities, Parker checks in with another jackalope tattoo? Two jackalope tattoos in one week, for reals? Is it our birthday? (It is not our birthday.) Except, of course, because Parker is not so much a human with flaws as she is a perfect being from somewhere among the cosmos, this is not just a jackalope, but a jackalope crossed with a goddamned owl, which, hey. In fact, this jaunty fellow is Fairfax, the jackalope owl, just hanging out and having a cup of peppermint tea. He likes long walks on the beach and arts and crafts involving nature.

And just like that, it’s Friday, ModBloggers, and there’s a knife on the floor.

Fleeing the Scene

Oh, hello, and welcome back to Syringe Week here on The ModBlog, your source for the finest in syringe-related photography! Yesterday, we featured Autopsy and his nurse, kindly reviving his ghostly, cadaverous body. Today, such a miraculous turnaround is not required, as our model simply requires a little more color, and her religion forbids the use of lipstick (probably). A fine alternative, indeed!

Get a Better Duty

One of our favorite sets of suspension photos that we’ve come across in the past belong to Nacho, who can be seen here, in all his white-striped glory. Well, good news! Nacho is back, as you can see above, just having a mid-air sit-down, possibly as a posture-healthy alternative to you typical office chair? Either way, he’s in the very capable hands of local sensation La Negra, and under the very capable photographic purview of Martin Del Pozo and his friend, Marco. After the jump, Nacho gets his knees cut down, plus video!

Give Few Thy Voice

Good morning, ModBloggers! Hey, it’s 3 O’clock. No, really—that’s 3 O’clock up there, showing off just one of the appearance choices made possible when one has big stretched lobes and large-gauge cartilage piercings with which to play. After the jump? We catch a glimpse of this same lobe in its natural habitat.

It’s Tuesday, dear readers, and we’ve still got a ways to go this week. Let’s watch the miles flying by.

Wherever You Go

And so, continuing today’s impressive streak of highly pleasant young women—a rarity around these parts, we know—here we have Mindi, the pride of Brisbane, sporting, well…a lot of pretty excellent looking work, to be honest, and can count among the contributing artists the eminently talented jOELTRON and Brendan, the latter of whom we’ve noted here a few times lately. This, then? A lovely collision of some of our recent favorites. We love it when a plan comes together.

Please My Ghost

The last time we featured Russia’s The Sinner Team on these here ModBlogs, a pretty good discussion broke out about safety in suspension, seeing as they were getting up pretty, pretty high. This time around, they’ve shared another pretty impressive and rather ambitious suspension, as you can see!

That’s me (Stanislav Axyonov, the leader of The Sinner Team suspension crew) and my girlfrend, Anna, doing our second tandem suspension together. The first was more casual, which can be seen here—sorry for bad quality. There was a risk of tearing my knees of course, but everything was fine. We were the first in Russia to perform this kind of suspension, so it was pretty fun for us to know we were going to do something “new.”

After the jump, a scene of post-suspension sexytime between Stanislav and Anna.

Fortune and Glory

So, the last time we saw Anna, she was in the process of cultivating a finely shorn look for summer, probably. It was a simpler time back then, back before her warm-weather jaunt to the Temple of Doom, where she clearly acquired a diabolical taste for sugary cereals served out of actual human skulls. So enchanted is she by this all-consuming bonelust that she does not even realize the wind has blown off her clothes. Why do the young people still insist on vacationing in those terrible catacombs?
