We Do Not Inherit the Earth

Kevin, a UK transplant living in the Netherlands, who has “always been fascinated by tattoos [with his] main interest in Northwest (Haida) tattoos,” sends in this portrait shot of himself by Sydney Korsse. This sort of scattershot approach to tattoos doesn’t always work well, but the fact that he’s stuck with such a unified theme actually makes for a nice effect, I think. For more on Kevin and his Haida tattoos, visit his fairly thorough web site: HaidaTattoos.com. Until tomorrow, ModBloggers.

Could You Milk Me?

Continuing this afternoon’s nipple extravaganza, Roger sends in these photos and explains in the classy third-person:

It all started with Roger and Holly pondering what they could do with nipple piercings that had not been done or seen before. Roger then remembered the T-bar and decided to do a new twist on it. With dermal anchors becoming popularized, and having mastered surface areas with them, he thought the nipple would be a new and exciting territory. Because Roger already pierced Holly’s nipples as we traditionally see them, he ventured into the T-bar look with dermal anchors posing as the top. They are two completely separate piercings, and the dermal anchor adds a classy and sophisticated personal touch. Never before done, he has awed us with his innovative imagination and successfully colored outside of the lines once again! This is a beautiful, creative addition to the other modifications he’s already done on Holly, including her lobes, septum, conch, nipples, vertical lip and ornate cutting on her hip.

Another shot, after the jump.

Fat City Reprise (Tattooed Musical Beasties)

I was lucky enough to be able to tag along with Tommy Agriodimas while he was doing a photo shoot with Fat City Reprise. After chatting for a while about their tattoos and their Philly origins, I figured I’d video some of it to share on BME. We did a quick interview and I threw together this video in the cab of a 26′ moving truck during the drive from NYC to LA.

A Harsh Mistress

One other thing that was special about today, aside from a certain excuse to drink the devil’s green cider? Unseasonable warmth! Up here on the frozen tundra of the barren Canadian hinterland, anyway. In celebration of our dying planet, I present to you these popsicle tattoos, belonging to Hayley, a piercer at Primal Urge in Perth, Australia. And, as it turns out, these delightful summer treats aren’t even called popsicles in Australia, and instead are referred to as “icy poles.” The Australians are a sweet and literal people.

EDIT: These are actually friendship tattoos! One is on the aforementioned Hayley, and one is on her best friend, Miss Spoons. The lesson, as always … I’m a jackass.

The Connoisseur’s Connoisseur

Continuing our wholly half-assed St. Patrick’s Day theme, how about this handsome young Russian gent wearing green, right? No doubt it was intentional, and not something I’m co-opting for my own lame purposes! Really though, I’m almost always a fan of Teflon (or other such white jewelry) in big stretched piercings, and ol’ blue eyes up there is certainly no exception.

Fist Full Of Metal!

I was going to intro this video but due to its awesome magnitude, it needs no introduction. Plus I’m already in the video so why bother writing when I don’t have to!

“I’m Full of Tricks”

Hey, it’s our old friend Pauly! Been a while since we’ve seen him around these parts, and apparently, he has some sort of fleshy alien creature living on his face, devouring his life force. The harder he tries to pull it off, the larger it grows. These parasitic space monsters have no class whatsoever.

(Sorry for the late start today—again. It’s been a bad week for technology at the Ginsberg residence. I’ll not make a habit of this tomfoolery.)
