The Calm Brow

Guh, are we live? Can you hear me, ModBlog? Sorry about the radio silence since yesterday afternoon—a combination of Internet and computer problems at The Manor have hamstrung this operation we all enjoy so much. But…I think things are back in working order and we’ve moved beyond those aforementioned technical difficulties. And, hey, what better way to enter this brave new era of technological competence and reliability than with this beautiful, intricate cutting by the increasingly ubiquitous Wayde Dunn while working out of Infinite Body Piercing in tropical Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And the cutting? Well, it’s on Burgh, who you may remember from spawning this murderous little darling. You want a shot of his face? Yeah, just poke around after the jump.

Welcome back, ModBloggers. What’s the point in ever being born again?

I’m Bloodshot For Sure

Well hey, look at that! It’s the always lovely (and controversial?) Lesha, checking in again—this time bottomless as opposed to last time’s toplessness. And…hey, what’s that on her stomach?

Ha ha, look at that! It’s this tremendous scarification portrait piece, a month into the ol’ healing process. Seems to be coming along nicely, but the question, as always, is how is the commentariat dealing with it? I’m going to say…hilariously.

Let the Wheels Burn

I’ve said it before, folks, but if there’s one thing we’re committed to here at ModBlog, it’s robots fighting alligators alien conspiracies gorillas in drag bringing you, the reader, the absolute best in cephalopod-related body art. Well, today is no different, as Mandic has sent in these shots of Kujoton‘s brand new octopus cutting courtesy of none other than the Thunder From Down Under, Wayde Dunn at Infinite in scenic Philadelphia. Oh, you want more? Yeah, we’ve got more. I think you know where to look.

Getting Shit Dunn III

We’ve been following Eric‘s intense thigh-and-more scarification from the beginning (here and here), and now we have yet another update! This time around, you’re looking at a piece that is just over eight months old (or 21,168,000 seconds…or 248 days…and so on) and it has raised just beautifully. It should come as no surprise, of course, that this was done by The Thunder From Down Under, Wayde Dunn while in scenic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Earth Beneath

It should come as no surprise that Steve, John and Wayde are the suppliers of (and inspirations for) these most graven of images. On Easter Monday, no less!

Says Steve:

Mr. Wayde Dunn-Dee himself did this amazing scar portrait on a friend of ours. We were hoping to find a fourth person she would agree to add on so he could do a Mt. Rushmore of Awesomeness, but sadly that didn’t work out.

I have to be honest—I’m a little surprised she went this far in the first place. That said though, we haven’t seen a ton of scarification portraits yet, but…these are pretty well executed. More photos, after the jump.

Panic Plays No Part

Continuing with today’s seat-of-the-pants animal/insect theme, here we have the lovely Heather, all nursed up and doling out an off-screen stare-down. What does this have to do with insects? Check out Heather’s flaming cicada, after the jump.

… OK, it’s probably a moth. I just liked the sound of “flaming cicada.”

Hang By a Slender Thread

It’s nice to have friends through whom to live vicariously, and it really seems like Ron, Wayde and Chris are constantly on the road, not wasting a second, and taking the pictures to prove it. Like Wayde up there, hanging out at some ruins in Chinchinitza, Mexico, and, apparently, holding on for dear life or gettin’ it on with a thousand-year-old pole. Either way. More shots of these globetrotting adventurers on location in Mexico, after the jump.

This is How I Feel

I swear, the scarification submissions lately have just been an absolute embarrassment of riches, and this shot of Sophie by Collin J. Rae, featuring a scar by the third-most-famous Australian ever, Wayde Dunn, is certainly no exception. Also, it’s a heart! Like for Valentine’s Day! See? Timely.
